@AdkisonUSMC Hurts my heart seeing the speedway abandoned. Some of my favorite memories happened at that place.

Earthset. The Artemis II crew captured this view of an Earthset on April 6, 2026, as they flew around the Moon. The image is reminiscent of the iconic Earthrise image taken by astronaut Bill Anders 58 years earlier as the Apollo 8 crew flew around the Moon.

Years ago I pulled over a 16/17-year-old kid doing 130 mph. Today he sent me thisโ€ฆ He just graduated college, moved to Florida, and is now a Deputy with the Escambia County Sheriffโ€™s Office. Reaching out like that? Thatโ€™s class. Shows real growth and character. Proud of you, man. Keep making good choices and protecting your community. The world needs more stories like this.

NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman
Artemis II has reached its maximum distance from Earth. On the far side of the Moon, 252,756 miles away, Reid, Victor, Christina, and Jeremy have now traveled farther from Earth than any humans in history and now begin their journey home. Before they left, they said they hoped this mission would be forgotten, but it will be remembered as the moment people started to believe that America can once again do the near-impossible and change the world. Congratulations to this incredible crew and the entire NASA team, our international and commercial partners, but this mission isnโ€™t over until theyโ€™re under safe parachutes, splashing down into the Pacific.

National Medal of Honor Day Today, on the anniversary of the awarding of the first Medals of Honor, we celebrate the courage, sacrifice, and patriotism which connect all recipients of the medal. We honor the Marines who have received this award for their extraordinary heroism, who distinguished themselves through acts of gallantry at the risk of life above and beyond the call of duty.
