And it's done. The Horizon Now Trilogy is fully released, after all the trouble with publishing hangups. Final book is here: amazon.com/Horizon-Future…

@WrnrWrites Squinting at the words. Holding down fluttering pages. Flapping away bugs. It's magical.

@douglass_meghan I heard as a kid that after 7 years, NONE of the atoms in your body will still be there. I bet that saying came before microplastics.

Fun fact: Most of the atoms in your body weren’t part of you a year ago.

I understand why doctors initial the body part of yours they're about to operate on. But it always disconcerts me as much as it would if I saw my doctor taking notes with a crayon. We've got modern science, but this is how we prevent errors.

Does anyone else wonder if unique story ideas are like bitcoin? They were so much easier to mine back in the day, but now we've got 8-billion people trying to mine new ideas. Unique ones come harder and harder.

Non-writers will never know the willpower it takes to rewrite a scene without looking back at your old draft to see how you did it before.

@Wordsmith66 Have fun with this. Amazon once took forever approving my book. So long that I had to abort my publishing schedule. I eventually lost my ISBN after I had to abort the book too.

@SDDonovan I've heard there are studies that show spoilers can actually increase enjoyment of a story for some. Probably something to do with anticipation or something.

Are you one of those readers who flips to the last page, reads it, THEN starts the book?

@VKasley @HDunn_Writer I suspect that all of us writers following more than 1000 people have gotten desensitized to a Home feed of mostly-fluff. I'm trying to fix that for myself, but good God it's a lot of work.

DOES engagement actually help book sales, or is it more about, like, exposure and popularity?

@HDunn_Writer @VKasley I think part of the problem is most X writers are here to get seen, not to see other people. As followers, we're not very attentive.

@VKasley I suspect that a large number of my followers are just bots. I get very little interaction unless I post something like a photo of a sandwich or a sock.

An instinct to build a spiderweb must be the strangest thing. Does the spider know what it's making? Or does it finish the first time and realize, "Oh my God! My mom had one of these!"

@SepiaMeteorites Every reader I talk to seems to appreciate having chapters that are short and easy to gun through since they don't have a lot of time otherwise.
