People keep saying Baleba or Manu Koné, but I’d take Alex Scott. A midfield of Tielemans and Mainoo isn’t balanced enough. Tielemans needs someone who can cover for him defensively, and Scott is that profile. Homegrown, Premier League-proven, rarely injured, and brilliant both on and off the ball. Would you take Alex Scott at United?

@CharZiyanah Yeah i'd get him if the price is right, and since he won't have the pressure to be a starting midfielder, he could adapt properly and carrick could adapt the tactings to suit his strengths as well

CARLOS BALEBA Two seasons ago, we were all excited over this young defensive midfielder that would bomb his way through midfields. The sell was: this could be the next Moises Caicedo. Following a failed move to Manchester United, with Brighton adamant they would not sanction a sale, Carlos Baleba began his next season a Brighton player once again. The player had a disrupted pre-season after picking up a knee injury in Marbella, removing him from crucial prep and pre-season friendlies for a month. He returned to training in the week before Brighton’s first game. Sadly, he just never seemed to regain his rhythm. The explosive ball carrying that made him such a rarity was no more and he had little impact on games. Whether that was down to his lost focus or desire from not landing his dream Manchester United move, a dip in confidence, or physical struggles, there’s no denying Carlos Baleba had a terrible season. But talent doesn’t just disappear and Carlos Baleba is still athletic, fast and physical. What is questionable is his mentality and consistency. Manchester United must decide whether to take a chance on him based on his best season, or write him off based on his worst. Mould him into our dream 6 or move on once and for all? It’s a decision that will come back to haunt us if we do not get it right.

Assuming Manchester United signs Summerville from west ham and Lewis Hall from Newcastle. Is this team formidable to challenge for the premier league title under Carrick?

Is this the same Carlos Baleba most of you are saying he lost form?? Yo INEOS, this is who you need to lock that Midfield up. £70m on him wouldn’t be bad. A midfield of Tielemans, Baleba and Bruno would cook in the EPL next season.

Lisandro Martinez has line breaking passes. Andrey Santos has line breaking passes. Youri Tielemans has line breaking passes. Bruno Fernandes El Bomba. Opposition are going to get tired with the way we switch play, from transition to pure counterattacking football. You stop Bruno, there’s Santos, you stop santos there’s Tielemans, you stop Tielemans, there’s Martinez. 21 is coming.

🚨🎙️ | David Ornstein on what's next for the #MUFC midfield: “United will have a CLEAR vision of what they want. “I'd imagine looking at the profile of what they got now, which is Mainoo, Santos and Tielemans, they will want somebody with LEGS. "Someone who can really cover grounds and provide a bit of complementary qualities to what those players bring to the party, which is ball-playing and control. “They need someone that can run and they will be well aware of that. So it will be fascinating to see which direction they go in." [@David_Ornstein/@TheAthleticFC]

Youri Tielemans is a more complete midfielder than Bruno Guimaräes. Even Newcastle fans would agree… Man United signed the better player with more PL experience for half the valuation Newcastle would have demanded But Arsenal fans are arguing about this pure fact all over the TL.

🚨 EXCL | Manchester United are open to selling Matthijs de Ligt if the right offer arrives. Internally, the club are targeting a more dynamic centre-back profile, with names such as Castello Lukeba admired. 👀 De Ligt could be sacrificed if the right opportunity presents #MUFC

Manu Koné as United’s third midfield signing makes complete sense now, doesn’t it? Someone who can cover ground, win duels, carry the ball through the lines and do the dirty work out of possession. Koné ticks a lot of those boxes. Thoughts? 👇

🚨Carlos Baleba back on #mufc radar. Brighton wanted £100m+ last summer, pursue cooled due to price and form. Now asking £70m. United value him at £50m. If Brighton drop price, United could move. Other target: Tyler Adams, 27. Bournemouth. Enquiries made. £50m fee. With Santos + Adams, United would spend £100m on two midfielders. That’s more than the £85m planned for Ederson and Santos Need is urgent. Casemiro left, Ugarte out long-term with ACL. Club wanted 3 midfielders this summer. [@TEAMtalk ] I think the plan still stands, £80m Marquee if we can find one that fits the standard, £50m rotational player which Santos fits perfectly and the £20m squad player, and those are easy to find anywhere. Hope for more movement in other areas as well. Might happen after the World Cup. I see five players joining this summer tbh

Just Yesterday I Said Whether We Like It Or Not Manutd Needs An Experienced Midfielder To Complement The Young Ones & I Opted For Sander Berge As My Choice, Less Than 12 hours INEOS Pulled Out The Fastest Transfer Of The Summer By Signing Youri Tielemans For £35m, He Is PL Proven & Experienced, He Is A Proven Winner, Won UEL & UCL Experience, He Can Dictate Play & Also Progress The Ball, He’ll Bring Leadership & Quality In The Midfield & Squad In General, If He Fits In To What INEOS & CARRICK Wants To Do Then GBEWA(Bring) I SEE SOME MANUTD FANS CRYING AGAIN, I TOLD U LOT THIS ISNT THE SUMMER FOR UR SHINY TOY SIGNINGS, ITS EITHER U BACK THE SIGNINGS UNTIL THEY PROVE OTHERWISE OR U RUN OFF AND GO SUPPORT AC MILAN 🫵🫵🫵🫵🫵

The Ederson situation says a lot about how Manchester United are operating this window. If the reports from Italy are accurate, United didn’t walk away because of an injury. They walked away because their priorities changed. That is brutal for the player. It also suggests the club is gambling instead of planning. United seemingly didn’t expect Chelsea to let André Santos leave. The moment that door opened, Ederson was no longer the priority. Then the narrative suddenly became, “Ederson isn’t fit.” The strangest part? The English media has barely touched that angle. Most of the reporting has come from Italy. And when you look back, it starts to explain a pattern. Mateus Fernandes. Elliot Anderson. Sandro Tonali. Different players. The same hesitation. The same delays. The same missed opportunities. At some point, it stops looking like a budget issue. It starts looking like indecision. If that’s what’s happening behind the scenes, United aren’t just losing players. They’re losing direction.
