Had to say goodbye today to Ted - AKA Mr T, Tedley, Tiddly-Ted, Ted the Shred, Gorgeous Boy, Little Boy, Little Lad, the last Musketeer, etc… First photo on Helm Crag (last full fell walk) Feb 24, and the other taken summer 23. He was 14 & 3/4 and has been such a lovely dog 💔

@PhilSipocz Did mean Brantwood (thats AI for you/me not re-reading b4 posting). Looked like the weather was nice (they serve nice food out on the terrace when it’s a bit warmer at Blackwell)

@AdventuringJoW Yep. We had discussed where to go but thought as weather forecast wasn't great, & Brantwood having the bigger garden, we'd go there on a better day. Weather actually turned out ok.

Paid a visit to Blackwell, the "Arts & Crafts" house today. Very interesting & informative. #LakeDistrict

On my last working day it seems that life comes full circle. 40 years ago I sat next to this grandfather clock waiting to be interviewed in the Board Room for my first job. Today I pass the same clock on my last day in the NHS, stop and reflect.

Hello peeps… today concludes 3 years of hard work. Some folk will like the upgrade, others won’t. So long as net outcome overall is positive (which it absolutely is), then all of us who contributed…. & there have been many, can be proud of everything achieved @NationalTrails

@wmarybeard A tremendous weather day in the Lakes yesterday. White on the tops & plenty of sunshine. Ullswater was incredibly beautiful (tho desperately sad to see multiple larger cans & other litter on A592. Why anyone would lob rubbish, rather than wait to get to a bin is beyond me 🤷🏻‍♀️)

Woken up at Ullswater … here for the Words by the Water literature festival in Keswick. Long way to come but so beautiful.
