when I was 15 (!!) my parents took an overnight trip and I mentioned to my friend that I was going to be home alone for an evening and my school guidance counselor found out and, I am not joking, called the police on my parents

@AVGirl4Life They still get paid minimum wage, which yes, is barely livable, but not as livable if we don’t go out to eat and the boss has to let them go. Tipping is a luxury. Minimum is called that because it’s the least amount of money needed to live in a state.
