Using the power of #AfterEffects text-animators, Gradient Stroke can do much more than a regular mask or shape layer. The preset comes pre-configured with 4 exciting animators to create cool effects! 100% free, check it out here :) aecartographer.gumroad.com/l/gradient-str…

@tinrochaok That's correct. The preset only works on Text layers.
English

@AeCartographer Thanks, it's great! maybe I misunderstood but it only worked when applying it on a text layer.

@verygoodmaps @EduardShading Your maps still rock! The knowledge you have of creating them hasn't gone to waste. A hillshade comprises lots of different things. You control color, tone, texture, and detail, all with an incredible artistic eye. As cool as Eduard is, your personal touch is special ✨️
English

As I just checked what @EduardShading can do these days, I can safely say my learned skill of making shaded relief maps has become a quite useless. That application can do what I can and more! Shame I can't use it with my old MacBook Pro. #maps

The @SchoolOfMotion Motion Mondays newsletter always brings the goods, love to see it in video form 👌

Design & Animation news!!! We decided to test out running our @SchoolOfMotion Motion Mondays newsletter as a video segment. It takes some work to do this, so we're looking for feedback. Do y'all like this format? Waddya think?

I know it's been a long NAB because I can't think of a punny description for this T-Rex party in After Effects Beta. @KylasaurusRex, help!
English

I actually made this with a script 😜 Wanted to see if an elegant solution already existed before I push this any further
AE Screens@ae_screens
How do you make random patterns like this? Is there a trick or do you do it manually?
English

@ae_screens Actual answer, the only AE effect to output a similar position distribution is Foam. It has options to repulse neighboring particles, but no way to get multiple colors. Random position expressions/wiggle will need tweaking so things don't overlap. A fancy expression might do it🧐

@ECAbrams Maybe useful for designers who do a lot of print stuff, good reference for scale. Haven't seen a monitor like that though 🤔

Stormy liquid, leaning towards iridescence. Using the same CC Time Blend FX method from a while ago. All native #aftereffects

@ale_sannazzaro Been asking myself the same question 🤓 I think yours are iconic though, very unique and cool
English

@lachamade 🤯 what about bezier paths? That'd be way more complicated, wouldn't it? 🤔
English

Just noticed that trimming the mask path and its vertex points in After Effects is actually doable. 🤯 It's not about trimming the stroke or point-on-path techniques. This can open up some interesting possibilities.

@zmillerTV @broadcastGEMs If you end up with two renders for 'light' and 'dark' anyway, you could have two comps with those names at the end and link the colour switch control to change based on comp name automatically. I do this all the time for left/right lowerthirds.
English

@broadcastGEMs also a possibility, but then you can't send both to render at the same time

@ae_screens Looks like it might be related to macOS Sonoma: helpx.adobe.com/au/after-effec…
