@Teacherglitter In many Scandinavian countries years of service are rewarded with a sabbatical year. Imagine taking a decent break and then investing time into really honing your practice for a few months, free of the pressures of marking, data, timetables etc. We can only dream...

I don’t want to leave my school. Been there for years and adore it. But there is no chance I would get a job anywhere else as a UPS3 teacher and match my wage. Without experienced teachers schools fail. You need experience and understanding in your schools.

This is so appalling. What a way to speak to a caller. This is what ordinary people are sick of: being laughed at by the media classes for having a different point of view.
