Official US policy: Until 1865, rip African American children from their parents. From 1870s to 1970s, rip Native American children from their parents. Now, rip children of immigrants and refugees from their parents. #ThisIsAmerica ?! #WhereAreTheChildren

We get questions on polls showing Black voters moving to Trump. Our answer: Unlikely but let's wait to election day to see. Same questions in 2016 & 2020 and what happened? Black voters consolidated to the Democrat over time. Early, small sample polls aren't a good indicator.

#Mainstream #media often fixates on polls, discussing how Black individuals feel and #vote. Many of these polls suggest that a significant number of #Blackvoters are supporting #Trump and distancing themselves from the #KamalaHarris, but this narrative lacks depth and accuracy. For instance, a poll might survey over 2,500 people yet include only around 150 Black respondents, which skews the results. Fortunately, there are dedicated Black polling #organizations that genuinely engage with the community and provide valuable insights, though they rarely receive the recognition they deserve. The only platform where I've consistently seen their work is on @rolandsmartin show, where they analyze #pollingdata and reveal the true voting trends among #BlackAmericans. It's crucial that we support these organizations and pay attention to their findings! The New York Times said yesterday that “Black Voters Drift from Democrats, Imperiling Harris’s Bid.” But today’s CBS News poll shows Kamala Harris getting the exact same numbers from Black voters that Biden got in 2020. And Biden won. Don’t obsess on the polls, folks. Just vote.

It’s official! @mhildreth is taking a leave of absence to join the @KamalaHarris/@Tim_Walz campaign. They couldn’t have picked a better thought leader and organizer to run their rural engagement program. We wish him the best! On to November!

@blkprofcct Yes. Small sample sizes and misunderstanding Black voters consolidate to Democratic candidates over months (and aren't locked in 9, 6, or even 3 months out), leads to hand wringing every 2 years about the Black vote. Kind of boring after a decade of saying this again & again.

This is simply false. Beltway polls have overestimated Black support for Trump (esp w/Biden). Not one Black-specific poll has Black Trump support >15% (now ~10% w/Harris) yet the polls averaged settle on 18% (some @ 30+)! (And 77% for Harris seems low too) salon.com/2024/07/24/and…
