Settlers shot up a school in Al-Mughayer.

💢 IDF Demolishing Lebanese Villages During Ceasefire Using Contractors Paid Per Building — Haaretz The Israeli military is systematically demolishing civilian buildings in southern Lebanese villages during the ceasefire, IDF commanders told Haaretz. Dozens of civilian contractors operating bulldozers have been brought in — some paid per building destroyed. A source said some contractors previously worked in Gaza. In one village, roughly 20 bulldozers are operating simultaneously. The policy is internally called “Silver Plow,” and includes homes, schools, and public buildings, with the stated goal of preventing residents from returning to border areas. Defense Minister Katz declared last month all border villages would be demolished “according to the Rafah and Beit Hanoun model.” Full report linked below.

One observation rewatching this –– Notice how @krystalball and her line of questioning exude humanity and empathy. She is approaching the genocide in Gaza as a human, not a political commentator. The answers come nowhere close to matching that. Aside from the fact that they are evasive and counterfactual, the answers represent an attitude that political issues are merely an intellectual exercise for the political class to engage in and that working on them is an opportunity to score brownie points and try to "win" a debate. A microcosm of the rot we're dealing with in Washington, a rot of which working people consistently experience the most catastrophic consequences.

She's never going to do progrssive and/or independent media again after she humiliated herself on Breaking Points with @KrystalBall & @ESaagar

Best summary of America I have seen

Can Lebanon’s health system survive a long war of attrition? The strain is already visible. In yesterday’s @mophleb update, the health sector had lost 38 health workers and 69 were wounded. Five hospitals had closed. Thirteen medical and ambulance centers were hit, 30 vehicles damaged, and emergency medical services attacked 53 times. And yet the system is still functioning. Paradoxically, part of the answer lies in two old Lebanese healthcare system problems: fragmentation and waste. Lebanon’s health system is a patchwork of public, private, and NGO providers, with more than one ambulance network. In normal times, that makes coordination harder. In war, it can help. When roads are cut, communication breaks down, supplies are delayed, and no central command can fully hold, many parts of the system can still work on their own. System waste matters too. Too many hospitals, overlapping services, duplicated capacity — all flaws in normal times. But in a long war, they become a buffer. When one part is hit, another can step in. This is not resilience by design. It is resilience forged through crises: messy, costly, but still standing.

Israel 2025 Wrapped: 3,000 years on the charts, zero signs of retiring. 🎧✨

There are just as many scholars who conclude Israel is not committing genocide. “scholars” can say whatever, but genocide has a fixed, legally defined meaning which isn’t flexible. Most of the “scholars” and NGO’s who have concluded Israel Is committing a genocide have redefined what it means to fit their political narrative. But no court has ruled Israel is committing genocide because they can’t. It seems to me that you people who keep insisting there’s a ‘genocide’ that isn’t actually happening don’t want the facts, you want the genocide you’ve imagined, because without that narrative, you lose the fame and attention you’ve built on it.

NEW: @OsseChi told an animal rights group he was a "pescatarian" striving for a "plant-based diet." But 8 days later he bragged about his love for "steak-frites" and "the best fried chicken sandwich." 🥩🥩 He also said he was a landlord in 2021. Now he says that was a mistake🧵
