3 months ago I applied for a Light Vehicle Technician apprenticeship at @MercedesBenzUK. After interviews and assessments I found out this week I've been accepted and start in August! 🎉 I'm absolutely thrilled! Thank you everyone who has supported my STEM journey so far. 👩🏼🔧

A break from usual proceedings to share some pictures from our monthly river clean up expedition. The team managed to pull out 9 sacks of litter - fantastic work, but sadly it barely scratches the surface of pollution on the River Lea.

@PeterVogel Probably around '76/7 (age 15/6) at school terminal to Hatfield Poly (now Uni of Hertfordshire) mainframe. Didn't think it then, but so lucky to get such a young introduction to programming.
Loved the clean logic of it compared to actual languages (Fr,Ge, etc. 😁)

BASIC (Beginner's All-purpose Symbolic Instruction Code) turns 60. On what machine(s) did you first experience BASIC? For me it was a TRS-80, along with an online HP system running over a modem to a DecWriter.
