Genocide:
After Hamas’s barbaric assault on October 7, 2023, what did they expect—garlands, gifts, and applause? When the Allies crushed Nazi Germany for crimes against humanity, no one cried “genocide.” Why should it be different now when Jews defend their nation and their very right to exist against Hamas and Iran’s proxies?

October 7, 2025 The Council for Muslims Against Antisemitism and its Board stand in unwavering solidarity with the Jewish community today. The atrocities of October 7, 2023, were horrific beyond words. Yet what followed in the two years since has been equally disturbing — a campaign to distort truth through the weaponization of words like “colonizers,” “apartheid,” and “genocide.” Let us be clear: (Thread 👇)

Statement on the Tragic Shooting in Washington, D.C.   Since the inception of the Council of Muslims Against Antisemitism (CMAA), we have been raising alarm over the rising tide of unchecked Jew-hatred spreading across the globe—particularly in Western nations. We have long warned that if ignored, this hatred would lead to tragic, deadly consequences.   That grim warning became a horrifying reality on Wednesday, May 21, when two Israeli Embassy staff members were shot and killed outside the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C., where the American Jewish Committee was hosting an event.   The event was a networking opportunity to bring Jewish young professionals and the diplomatic community together to discuss ways of  responding to the humanitarian crises in the Middle East, including Gaza.   The victims, identified as Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim, were described as a “young couple about to be engaged.” Their lives were stolen in an evil and brutal act of hate that has left families shattered and communities grieving.   According to police, the suspect—30-year-old Elias Rodriguez from Chicago—shouted “Free, free Palestine” while in custody. This heinous crime is a stark reminder that hateful rhetoric, when left unchallenged, can fuel violence.   As Canadians, we are deeply concerned and afraid that similar evil can manifest in the same deadly manner. This is a time for all of us, as responsible citizens, to stand united. There must be no room for hatred, bigotry, or violence in our country.   At CMAA, we remain committed to working with all those who value peace, mutual understanding, and respectful dialogue. We call on our elected leaders to resist divisive rhetoric and instead promote unity, compassion, and the rule of law.   Our hearts break for the families of Yaron and Sarah, for the Jewish community in Washington and beyond, and for everyone affected by this senseless tragedy. We grieve alongside you. May their memories be a blessing.   We condemn this violent act in the strongest possible terms. The murder of innocent people—motivated by antisemitism—must be met not only with justice, but with a renewed commitment to never allow hatred to flourish.   In solidarity and sorrow,

The Council of Muslims Against Antisemitism strongly condemns the attack on the Jewish community in Amsterdam. Europe historically has seen the ugliness of antisemitism and its results. They should not fall prey to the ideology of hate purported by Iran and its proxies, and carried out by thugs on the pretext of being pro-Palestinian. Blatant antisemitism has raised its ugly head once again and we must stop it. Are the Canadian powers-to-be paying any attention?

The Council of Muslims Against Antisemitism (CMAA) is comprised of Muslim thinkers, professionals and activists committed to fighting antisemitism in all its guises. We recognize antisemitism as a uniquely pervasive, enduring, and lethal form of hatred which has insinuated itself into multiple cultural, religious, and political frameworks across the globe.  The Council of Muslims Against Antisemitism fully welcomes and endorses the newly released Canadian Handbook on the IHRA Working Definition of Antisemitism that was developed by the Government of Canada and the Office of the Special Envoy for Preserving Holocaust Remembrance and Combatting Antisemitism @DeborahLyonsSE. The IHRA definition of antisemitism, and this IHRA handbook, are key tools in combating antisemitism in Canada and around the world.

This undefined, amorphous concept, pushed onto the board by vague “community voices” is dangerous and will not help bring peace, understanding, or cooperation between communities, which is what schooling should be about. Instead, it will help perpetuate antisemitic stereotypes as Canada sees a quadrupling of attacks against Jews, including Jewish children in public schools.
