Another “turf war” is coming and JC and Co. better be ready for it. The owners have always let it be known that they “get what they want.” With the 18th game demand on the horizon; the inevitable increase in media rights deals; and the expiring CBA, the players better be prepared to fight for everything they are worth and more. Don’t back down, be prepared, and give the owners the fight they don’t see coming! Go read “Turf Wars” by @demauricesmith as it is the best insight into how the 2011 CBA negotiations went and what is to be expected in the next couple years as the owners prepare to take everything they can from the players.

The Board of Player Representatives has elected JC Tretter to lead the NFLPA as the union's fifth executive director. He previously served as NFLPA president from 2020 to 2024. Read more: nflpa.com/press/nflpa-bo…

@MichaelSiew66 I believe they released it right before the new league year started. At least they gave us an updated report. I don’t believe they release updates throughout the offseason. Not that I recall at least. Our office keeps an updated one for ourselves through the offseason.

Thank you for the insight. I’m starting a podcast on All sports and do have some knowledge of the nfl salary cap and its workings. One last question. Any idea when nflpa will release its updated salary cap report and their adjusted salary cap for each team? Thank you again and have a great weekend.

@AgentJesseJames great job on opening drive this morning Jesse. Question. As an agent when you are preparing a contract for your client with all 32 teams you know what every teams salary cap is do you have a contract idea for each of those Teams? Also do teams tell you during negotiations what they can afford each year and you try to fit into that area?

“AA” Championships today. The Mize qualified for 5 events. The only 6 year old in 3 of those events (his teammate who is also 6 will be doing 2 relays with him). 8u 50 freestyle, 50 backstroke, 25 backstroke, 100 freestyle relay, 100 IM relay (backstroke). “It’s a great day for a 6 year old to kick some 8 year old butt” -The Mize (probably)

@CinciBengals513 You don’t want a top 10 pick to be a swing tackle (OT3), even if it’s just for one year. Your top 10 pick better start day 1. I don’t think that’s the point you’re saying, but if they go that route then that OT better play RG in year 1.

I see these meetings twofold. (1) Bengals have an idea that the top 10 may not fall their way in regard to the high-end defensive talent. Many scouts have Mauigoa and Fano as potential top 10 prospects. One or both may be available at pick 10 and should be considered as BPA. Mauigoa could easily be BPA at 10, in my opinion. If top defensive players are gone at 10, absolutely draft Mauigoa and let the dominos fall. (2) Bengals like to draft a potential player’s replacement a year before that player leaves in Free Agency. It hasn’t worked out in the cases of Whitworth and Bates. Might be considering allowing OBJ to walk in Free Agency. Not the correct mindset in my opinion. Hopefully they are just doing their due diligence and it’s not something to read into.
Bengalscentre@benga1scentre

The Bengals are indeed meeting with some of the top tackles in this class. Including Francis Mauigoa, Spencer Fano, Monroe Freeling, and Kadyn Proctor. Could offensive tackle in play at 10 depending on how the board falls?

@HaydenWinks Hard to find loyalty like that. He turned down 7-figure NIL offer from a Big Ten school. Big time pay cut to stay at NDSU.
