@AdrianTwydall @MattTakeThree @TomTalksCars Same, I'm on my third Xiaomi, can't fault them at all. Fast CPUs, decent screens, only thing that really sets apart the flagship models of Samsung et al, is the camera quality. They're a bit sharper but Xaomis still perfectly acceptable quality unless you're serious photographer.

Due to work and home, I'm rough on phones. So.wont splash £1k on a Samsung or iPhone. Anyone know if these are actually useable? At £200 delivered, if I got 2yr outta it. Be content. @TomTalksCars you're a geek right?

@MinisterofDOOM Reminds me of old specs for BES ~15 years ago - claimed it needed 24GB RAM & 13 CPU cores (& indeed refused to install without), for circa 150 users. Absolutely ridiculous. Did the install then dropped the resource allocation massively - ran absolutely fine on 4 coree, 8GB.

Weird ancient software install, documentation says it needs at least 32GB of memory per VM for SQL. I have 4 instances running that have never used more than 8GB.

@MattTakeThree Similar vibes with the Jeep Wrangler I've spent the past week driving. Great at off-roading I'm sure, but as everyday car, rides like a Transit, awful seats, bouncing over every little undulation, slow, noisy, hard to park. Don't get why anyone would want one as a daily either.

Maybe it's because I've spent the last 8 weeks surgically attached to it, and I'm now physically crippled. But I do not get why anyone would lifestyle own a pickup, or use one as a tax dodge. They're a work tool. They ride awful. They block your driveway. My bones hurt.

@AutoInfatuation The MPG isn't far off the 2.5 saloon I had TBH. Interestingly, all the petrols were V6s, even the 2.1 (that has to be some kind of record, a 2 litre V6), lovely sound from them. Be sure to check under the plastic sill covers. Health to drive.

Finally home after a long day collecting my *Cheap* Estate. So here it is: 2006 Jaguar X-Type Sovereign 3.0 V6 AWD Estate in Metallic Chilli Red with Oyster stitched leather interior. 3 owners from new and always has been an Essex car, thankfully has spent the least time on the coast, only the last 6 months-ish. 127,000 miles, Full & I mean FULL service history but is now due another on time, 1 & 1/2 service books full of stamps (over 10 years with the same garage) plus a folder full of invoices and the original order sheet (pictured). An amazing MOT history, two keys and a great specification including Sunroof, Xenon headlights, front parking sensors and the Alpine Sound System which was great back in the day. I took it on what must of been a 12 mile test drive and then it’s just done 110 miles home and not missed a beat. It’s not slow but also not that fast, not particularly economical and is the highest tax band but there’s something about that 3.0 V6 and the way it drives with the 60/40 split on the drivetrain - think I’m quite smitten already with the old man mobile if I’m honest👨‍🦳 Oh and for those who’re wondering, I paid the princely sum of £1500.00 for it which I’m quite happy with. Then due to it having a fuel tank the size of a thimble it cost £55 for 3/4 of tank of Esso Supreme+ E5 about 10 miles down after I picked it up ⛽️ **If** these ever become a cult classic, then this will be the one to have I’m sure 👌 But cue the “Mondeo in a frock” comments 🤨
