I had zero expectations going into Marathon, and somehow I still feel let down Game is hot garbage. Worst menus/UI I think I've ever seen. "Gunplay is good"... yeah because nothing has recoil and is a laser beam Looting is convoluted, hold E for everything, see maybe 1-2 other squads per match Art style is subjective but it looks like straight Roblox. Very unintuitive looting, horrible interface when it comes to health/shields/healing. So bad they had to make a "Smart Heal" button Factions and salvage are confusing, quests are literally "press this" and its completed I've been wrong before, but this game might be completely DOA already. Making it free one week before launch means people like me (and everyone else on my TL) will try it, not like it, and won't even bother purchasing $40 is cheap for games these days and it still seems to high for what it is. Guess we'll see

Casual online multiplayer gaming is dead. Every game solely focuses on skill gaps, long ttk, hyper fast movement and then strict SBMM bc of it. Just not the gaming experience I want, enjoy, or think is best for most people and a healthy diverse playerbase.
