A total of 4,086 students of the Uganda Management Institute (UMI), Kampala, are graduating today in different disciplines. The institute's 23rd graduation ceremony is being presided over by the Chief Justice Flavian Zeija. In his address, Justice Zeija challenged graduates to uphold integrity and serve with humility. I had a tete-a-tete with Naalya Book Club at Naalya Motel. It's a group that chose "reading" as their passion (to learn, enrich and implement). We reviewed my book, WORK and PROSPER, and had discussions on the decisions that grow our businesses/lives. We can only prosper when we sell goods/services. Prayer, without work, can not deliver us from poverty. We have to nurture a desire to generate wealth (through hard work) and to banish superstition as it's devoid of logic and is a hinderenace to progress. I appreciate these people: hardworking, fast and clean (in body and soul). It's a winning combination.
