Why it matters beyond the lab: · Robotics – A unified space‑time controller could give humanoid robots flexible balance strategy similar to the one our brains use.   · Clinical outlook – Wearable devices that add the physics of standing might offset age‑ or pathology-related neural delays, reducing falls in at‑risk populations

Drs. Jean-Sébastien Blouin and Calvin Kuo are studying a towering ‘body-swap’ robot to advance our understanding of how the brain keeps us standing & to help inform design of assistive devices or rehab strategies for older adults. Check out the thread to learn more
