Latest data takes these storms pretty darn close to Norman tonight in about ~1.5-2 hours…where Luke Combs concert & Norman graduation are happening.

The way that literally no models show anything forming on the dryline Sunday makes me wonder if there actually isn’t going to be any dryline convection

@SanAntonioTim The run could not last forever, but injuries, this and last year, have played a role in the decline. Astros have been buyers for about the past decade and it might be time to become sellers and bring in some young talent to start a rebuild.

It sucks where they are now, but it’s nearly impossible to have an extended run longer unless you can sustain a payroll among the highest in MLB. Eventually, the run was going to end but it went longer than most runs in MLB.

In 2023, I was convinced the Orioles were about to duplicate a run similar to the Astros from 2017-2022. Three years later and they still haven’t won a playoff game since 2016, and other teams seemed to have passed them. The Astros had a run that is unmatched by few teams.

With our latest severe weather sequence winding down, all eyes turn to the middle/late portion of this coming week. Models are progging a return to an active jet stream coinciding with the return of an expansive warm sector from the Gulf Coast to the Midwest. For now, SPC has only outlined severe probabilities across Oklahoma/Kansas on Thursday (April 23), but severe weather is possible over a multi-day stretch starting Wednesday and going through at least the weekend. I'll have more information, including forecast videos, as this stretch approaches.

Recent satellite trends have trended away from more agitated CUs across SW OK. Although the chances of CI are not completely gone, they are considerably lower than they were a few hours ago. On subtle forcing days like this, you ride a fine line between firing storms and nothing.

A crappy egg white omelette, a smash burger, & a garbage pepperoni pizza with two Irish coffees. Could’ve ate at the Buffet for almost the same price. Minus the Irish coffees
