Empowering Mumbai’s Hospitality Sector with a Permanent Solution! We know how challenging the recent commercial LPG supply disruptions have been for our city's vibrant food industry. From erratic deliveries to the high electricity costs of temporary induction cooking, our members have faced immense hurdles just to keep their kitchens running. Yet, AHAR is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that Mumbaikars who depend on restaurants never go hungry. Having relied heavily on LPG and PNG, our members have shown remarkable resilience by swiftly transitioning to alternatives such as induction cooktops and charcoal sigris — absorbing initial challenges to keep their businesses running seamlessly. But we are not stopping at temporary solutions — we are taking decisive action! To ensure our industry never has to face this uncertainty again, AHAR has partnered with Mahanagar Gas Ltd (MGL) for a special fast-track Piped Natural Gas (PNG) enrollment drive. The response from our community has been nothing short of phenomenal: • 800+ applications received in just ONE week! • Nearly 2,000 restaurants expected to switch by the end of this campaign • South Mumbai (SoBo) leading the charge with over 60% of applications As our President, Mr. Vijay Shetty, highlighted, transitioning to PNG is not just a solution — it is a permanent fix to the daily struggle of securing commercial cylinders. It ensures uninterrupted operations, stabilized costs, and long-term peace of mind for your business. AHAR stands firmly by its members in times of crisis. Initiatives like these reaffirm our commitment to safeguarding the interests of the hospitality community. If you are not yet a member, now is the time to join — AHAR remains the only association to organise such large-scale, impactful initiatives exclusively for its members. Let’s future-proof our kitchens together! If your establishment is located near an existing pipeline network, don’t wait — switch to PNG today and get your commercial connection on the fast track. In solidarity, — Team AHAR #AHAR #mumbairestaurants #hospitalityindustry #mahanagargas #png #restaurantbusiness #mumbaifoodies #fandbindia #vocalforlocal
