@niccommawoo @MASSterList And I agree that a shortage of lifeguards is a problem for both pools and ponds. I know that community groups around Coes trying to help address this

@niccommawoo @MASSterList I learned that University Park used to have a pool. While I agree more pools would be helpful, it stresses the importance of stewarding the health of our ponds with beaches (Coes, Indian, Bell) & the city had built an amazing citizen volunteer water quality monitoring program

Boston, population 675k, has 18 city-run pools. Worcester, population 206k, has...one. (via @MASSterList)
