@Captain_JRM @owenjonesjourno Do officers usually climb on top of someone they suspect is rigged with explosives? They stopped kicking him in the head after they wrestled the knife from him, which was what actually worked. The fake explosives narrative is obviously an attempt to excuse their wrongdoing.

Use common sense, Owen. If someone is carrying explosives, are they more likely to be detonated if: a) the terrorist is perfectly conscious b) the terrorist is unconscious/concussed Btw, if you don't think that's a good way to deal with a terrorist, and he had detonated the bomb, would you have applauded the police for being moderate? I wouldn't

Hold on - what? If police officers think someone might be carrying explosives, protocol is to kick them in the head repeatedly like this? Is that actual police protocol? If so, how is it a wise police protocol? Can someone explain the reasoning?

VIEWER DISCRETION ADVISED: Muslim woman "targeted" in horrific hit and run. Shocking footage shows the moment a woman in a hijab in her 20s was ploughed into by a car in Abbey Wood, south London, on Sunday. She incredibly survived the horrific collision and her condition is deemed not to be life-threatening or life-changing. The Metropolitan Police are now looking to identify the driver and have appealed to the public for information. No arrests have been made so far and detectives are considering "any possible motive", although locals fear a targeted attack.

@AMGbadebo @metpoliceuk @SholaMos1 That's nonsense, the officers are clearly acting out of anger & other emotions. Even after being kicked repeatedly in the head, the knife was still in his hand. The solution was what they ended up doing in the end anyway - grabbing the arm & the hand that was gripping the knife.

@metpoliceuk @SholaMos1 Shola, the man still had the knife in his hand. He had just stabbed 2 ppl & was likely prepared to keep fighting. In my view, the officers did what was necessary to protect everyone. They, along with the members of the public who stepped in, deserve recognition for their bravery.
