Watch my full interview with @mattgaetz on @OANN. Private equity rollups of cancer care have contributed to: Quality decline, higher costs, and expensive treatments that benefit investors over local practitioners and patients. It's time to curb this abusive behavior.

As Ferguson did, Commissioner @MeadorFTC draws on the history and inspiration of Teddy Roosevelt--discussing the morality of free and competitive markets. Competition on the merits must be distinguished from coercion.

The Trump-Vance @FTC returned more money to Americans via consumer protection in one year than the Biden-Harris admin did in four years. We are proud of our record.
Nancy Scola@nancyscola

Interestingly, at the @BullMooseProj's "America First Antitrust Forum" today FTC Chair @AFergusonFTC’s video remarks are substantially about consumer protection: "We need to understand that consumer protection, no less than antitrust, is an effective tool in fighting corporate power and misconduct, and no less than antitrust, consumer protection needs to be an integral part of an America First approach." As he notes, "Now you may be slightly surprised to hear me talk about consumer protection at this conference, but any conservative populist or nationalist who cares about corporate power needs to care about consumer protection no less than antitrust."

Chair @AFergusonFTC gave an excellent virtual keynote on how consumer protection law is a critical complement to vigorous antitrust enforcement. He touted FTC actions on healthcare, subscriptions, transportation, tech, and more.

We are honored to host a virtual message from @AFergusonFTC at our Forum. “The FTC’s job is to ensure no company profits from the bipartisan consumer consensus by making false and unsubstantiated claims their product is made in the USA.” Make Made in America Real Again.

legacy DC think tanks are dying because they're INSANELY slow and don’t innovate. almost any policy paper today could have been written 20 years ago. niche startup think tanks with fast turnaround are eating the big institutions alive.

If you're not familiar with The New Outlook, you should be. This is a strong piece. It gets the macro problem right: a country that cannot build critical energy, transport, and industrial systems loses real sovereignty. This has been the impetus behind Noramark. Our own specific focus has been on the nuance that the U.S. still has more usable capacity than most people think, but buyers cannot reliably discover, verify, compare, and route work across unfamiliar shops under real schedule pressure. That is the thread running through my Industrialist papers and the Noramark work: industrial strength depends on protocols for identity, RFQs, revisions, quality evidence, and performance history that make domestic capacity legible and routable. Capacity that cannot be trusted or coordinated at the point of award does not behave like capacity. National rebuilding starts with plants and power, but it also requires better market plumbing between buyers and suppliers.

What does it actually mean for a nation to be sovereign? Not in the diplomatic sense, but in the physical, material sense that determines whether a country can act without asking permission? @patrickjwolf attempts to answer this question in our latest release for the @MooseInstitute's The New Outlook. He looks at American deindustrialization — tracing how decades of trade liberalization, financial short-termism, and the quiet cultural dismissal of industrial work have left the United States dependent on foreign suppliers for the inputs that undergird national power. The consequences are no longer theoretical. China controls roughly 90% of global rare earth processing capacity. American commercial shipbuilding accounts for 0.1% of global output. Since 2000, the U.S. has lost more than 91,000 manufacturing plants and nearly 5 million manufacturing jobs. A nation doesn't lose sovereignty the moment it closes its last factory. What it loses first is the ability to resist coercion — and to negotiate from strength. Read "A Nation That Can't Build Will Be Constrained By Those Who Can" at The New Outlook. newoutlook.org/p/a-nation-tha…

If you're wondering how data centers can improve on their current (woeful) efforts to sell themselves, the below is a fantastic example. Data centers bring a huge amount of tax revenue to host communities, but people need to know how that money helps them personally.
Delegate Daniel Linville@DelegateDaniel

I want every West Virginian to understand what's at stake with data center development — so I built a tool to show you. Plug in any county. Slide the project size. Watch what happens to school funding, emergency services, and your personal income taxes. This is what economic development looks like. This is why I'm fighting for it. Try it for yourself 👇 🔗 linvilleforwv.com/datacentertool

Congratulations to @JaceYarbrough on becoming the Republican nominee for TX-32! It’s time to seize victory in November 🇺🇸
Jace Yarbrough@JaceYarbrough

Thank you to my fellow Republicans for a spirited primary. I’m grateful for the support across our party and proud to be the Republican nominee for #TX32. Now it’s time to unite and turn our focus to November. The stakes couldn’t be higher. This election is a choice between advancing President Trump’s America First agenda or handing power back to a Democratic majority obsessed with sham investigations and petty obstruction. We’re full speed ahead into the general election, and I’m ready to win this fight for the people of TX-32. Let’s Go! 🇺🇸
