I would like to understand what constitutes winning in Iran. We have spent tens of billions of our taxpayer money that could have gone to helping Americans. The Iranian people, who Trump claimed to care about, are left in a more dire straight than when the war started. We have lost 13 American lives, one whose family had to set up a GoFundMe for living expenses, for his daughter and children, and injured countless more. We are responsible for an abhorrent strike on a girls school that Trump still refuses to apologize for.
If we are doing so great, why as my friend @MalcolmNance points out, why are we evacuating Americans from Iraq? If we are doing so great, why is gas up more than 25% now to $3.70, and farmers are being direly impacted as they start their planting season.
Who is winning? The oil companies are set to make more than $60 billion. Trump‘s sons are investing in drone companies that are going for contracts from our Pentagon. Jared Kushner is out fundraising. And the biggest winner is Vladimir Putin, and Russia, who we are enabling with oil money.
We are 14 days into this morass and Trump has yet to explain our objectives, our goals and our endgame. Shame on our members of Congress for allowing this!
