This boy’s clarity of thought and honesty of expression on caste-based disparities are commendable. Hats off to you, young man! He is so right. Reservation is not a poverty alleviation programme but a means to bring equity and equilibrium to the social structure. 🫡🫡

Today is the 500th anniversary of the first battle of Panipat, thus 500 years since the establishment of Mughal rule in India. Fun fact, Babar defeated Ibrahim Lodhi. Muslim rule over Delhi and north India began nearly 400 years prior to Panipat. Fun fact 2, Mughal rule ended in 1857 nearly 175 years ago. Fun fact 3 the Mongols/Mughals had been trying to capture North India for nearly 250 years before Babur's win. History plays the long game .

The way Ambedkar Jayanti is becoming a bigger event with each passing year, I think, in the coming years, it'll become the biggest festival in India, much like Chinese New Year for China or Thanksgiving for the US. It could turn into a seven-day festival, with schools and offices organizing events to commemorate it each day. Indian migrant workers might start returning from abroad to celebrate it. We might even begin inviting foreign heads of state to attend, much like on Republic Day. The state currency could feature Ambedkar, and every year there could be a new tallest statue of Ambedkar, each one taller than the last.

Sanskrit is known as 'देव- भाषा' (language of the Gods). Is there also a language related to Ghosts or Goblins? Welcome to the lost world of Paichasi Prakrit (पैशाची प्राकृत)! Named after blood-sucking ghosts ( paichasa), this language was spoken in NW India at least till 3rd century. It was called "Paichasi" as it was considered to be barbaric, uncouth & archaic language as compared to a refined language like Sanskrit. Some examples of the words in this language and it's comparison with Sanskrit words are: Bhārya ( wife) in Sanskrit = 'Bhirya' Hriday (heart) in Sanskrit = Hitaaka Kanyā ( girl) in Sanskrit = Kanja Snān ( bath) in Sanskrit = Sanana kaṣṭa (difficulty) in Sanskrit = kasata / kasatam The greatest document written in Paichasi Prakrit is 'Bṛhatkathā' written by Guṇāḍhya in 1st century. The document is lost now, but it is said to have been 7 times longer than Mahabharata with 700,000 verses.

Raising a baby in India costs more than most people admit. Here’s a real breakdown for urban parents in the first 3 years: Diapers and wipes: ₹35,000 to ₹70,000 over 2–2.5 years (5 diapers/day × 900 days = 4,500 diapers At ₹8–₹15 per diaper, the math lands here) Vaccinations and pediatric visits: ₹50,000 to ₹80,000 in early years (Depends on private hospital + optional vaccines) Baby food and formula: ₹60,000 to ₹1.2 lakh (Higher if formula-heavy or premium brands) Clothing, gear, essentials: ₹60,000 to ₹1.5 lakh (Clothes, crib, carrier, toys, etc.) Hospital delivery: ₹50,000 to ₹2.5 lakh (Private hospitals in urban India) And this is before daycare, preschool, and that random late-night purchase. A broader estimate suggests raising a child in India costs ₹30 lakh to ₹1.2 crore by age 18. For metro families, you’re much closer to ₹1 crore than you think. Indian parents today are spending more on their children than any generation before. Always bullish for this category. 🚀

Twitter is full of mostly disappointing, negative news. So here is an inspiring, heartwarming story of rising against the odds to bring back positivity: Manoj Kumar Rajak was a regular govt job aspirant, so poor that he was struggling to repay just an ₹85,000 education loan. But Rajak didn’t give up. He kept trying and trying, finally cracked the code, became an electrical engineer in the Bihar govt, and thus began his journey of jan-seva. By the time Bihar’s Economic Offences Wing caught him yesterday, he had amassed more than ₹100 crore in property, with a modest salary of ₹12 lakh a year. He built properties across Bihar, Bengal, and Nepal, land, houses, warehouses, even a tea garden, mostly routed through benami holdings in family members’ names, like a petrol pump for his wife and a gas agency for his brother, along with real estate investments. Despite being married, he overcame those restrictions and even managed to make a Nepali girlfriend, for whom he built a luxurious bungalow in Nepal and made other investments. Manoj’s life is a shining example that with relentless dedication, hard work, and bold vision, no dream or goal is too big.

@SonipatPolice @dcsonipat I can only lament at the mental depravity of people who dump such hazards on main road in a huda sector. This is lying at the road behind Mapsko A block, near VSPK school. So many vehicles passing and so many accident opportunities in marking

Day 6.5 of travelling in Faridabad for my internship. @MCF_Faridabad How are pedestrians supposed to cross these underpasses? Location: Sector 29 underpass. It is a smart city, yet it still lacks basic pedestrian infrastructure like zebra crossings and footpaths. > Such a basic

A shirtless protest by Youth Congress workers at Global AI Summit against PM Modi. Surely there are far better ways to raise a dissenting voice (which is their constitutional right) than disrupt a global gathering where the focus is on technology for the future and not politics as usual? POOR TASTE.

Drop 13/14: The 30B and 105B models, benchmarks, and HF links will all come. But today it is a drop about people. About how our team of just 15 folks gave it their all to do what many doubted as not doable - ie train usefully large, globally competitive models from scratch in India. This team of 15 has now firmly launched @sarvam into its second innings.
