On September 11th 2001, George W. Bush was scheduled to have a small group meeting with leaders of the Muslim community. Leaders later described as connected to Muslim Brotherhood linked networks. The meeting was cancelled because of the attacks. Now, I’m not suggesting anything sinister about that meeting, but what matters is that you had a group with ties to the Muslim Brotherhood that was supposed to have a meeting with the President on 9/11. That’s proximity, access, relationship. The key here is that while most were focused on the external threat, the internal threat was here all along.
