@Akshada2511 @abhijit_MLab @abandopa I've seen way too many engineering PhDs driving taxis and stacking shelves around the world. Unless you are lucky/enterprising enough, a PhD is waste of time for most. The skills that you cite are not uncommon among people. You were chosen for other reasons.

So true: Choosing a non-academic career doesn't mean leaving behind everything you learned as a researcher. The skills you developed while working & training in a lab are useful & valued in many roles.
