@drhingram @charli_says You stick to expensive petrol and I’ll charge my car overnight for pence not pounds. I’ll stick to Ferrari type acceleration too with my sewing machine performance. Nothing I love more than leaving the hot hatches for dead at the traffic lights 😂

@charli_says I’m sure they’re lovely cars but they’re completely impractical right now. Maybe when the tech develops things will be different. And we need an engine roar, not a sewing machine whine!

@jamese_uk Unless you’re Catholic, apologies aren’t a get out of jail free card. You can’t simply say sorry for a terrible decision you made, knowing all the facts he did at the time.

@jamese_uk Did they appoint the best friend of the biggest sex trafficker to government too? Starmer is not worse, but his judgement is just as bad. He has supported a Chancellor whose decisions have led to growing youth unemployment - at what point will you stop blaming the Tories?

Still can't believe that the people who brought us Boris Johnson and Liz Truss have the f**king temerity to even suggest that Kier Starmer is the worst Prime Minister ever. It's not even remotely close.

EXCL: Morgan McSweeney's mobile phone with texts to Peter Mandelson was stolen. These messages may be lost forever - meaning there there will be gaps in The Mandelson files published by No10. Phone was nicked and reported to police last year. thesun.co.uk/news/38591267/…

No no @bphillipsonMP - they are not ‘free’ breakfasts, lunches, clothes etc. someone has to pay for this and it’s the hard pushed taxpayers. You are so happy to give out ‘free’ stuff without any idea how to grow the economy in order to pay for it. Financially illiterate the lot of you. #NeverLabour
Bridget Phillipson@bphillipsonMP

This government is focused on the cost of living. At @educationgovuk, we're saving families cash: £450 on free breakfast clubs £50 on school uniforms £500 on free school meals £300 on school holiday clubs Now it's confirmed we've halved childcare costs, saving parents £8,000.

@Councillorsuzie @bphillipsonMP It’s free for the scroungers. They never need to ask or care where the money is coming from. Just keep voting Labour and a Government too scared to rock the boat

@alansritchie @robmclean1976 @paullewismoney Hey I’m looking forward to getting my snout in the trough just as soon as I’ve finished paying tens of thousands of pounds taxes every year to support everyone else.

@Al61982 @robmclean1976 @paullewismoney Amazing how quickly people abandon "their radical solutions", and start defending the status quo when they think the government might give them less welfare than they deserve, instead of cutting it for someone else.

That’s nonsense because many of the people who get what he calls welfare do in fact Work. And much of this total is paid to pensioners in return for their national insurance and they would certainly not consider it welfare. But it’s fake statistics like these that can influence peoples beliefs.
Matthew Elliott@matthew_elliott

The Government will collect £331bn in income tax this year, and spend £333bn on welfare. In other words, we now spend more on people not working than we raise from those who do. And the cost? Debt per person has risen from £11.5k in 2000 (inflation adjusted) to over £41k today.

@BananasDavie @17menzies17 He’s knocked Scotland back at least twice. Have some pride in your team and the players who would give their left leg to play for you. I’d love Musiala to have committed to England but I’d have been embarrassed if we kept chasing him once he’d declared for Germany…

@Al61982 @robmclean1976 @paullewismoney If you think that welfare for old people should be linked to contributions, why have a state pension at all? Let people live off the private pension that they contributed while working, instead of paying NI to pay for the older generations. Would be unpopular with older voters

@Armas_Edel @MarioNawfal So you start a war with no clear objectives then run away to leave others to clear up the mess? Kind of explains Anerican foreign policy since Iraq. At least you guys are consistent 👊😁

🇮🇷🇺🇸🇬🇧 Iran just proved its missiles can reach far beyond the Middle East Iran fired two intermediate-range ballistic missiles at Diego Garcia, a joint U.S.-UK military base sitting 4,000 kilometers away in the middle of the Indian Ocean. Neither hit the base, but the message landed harder than any warhead could. Tehran has always publicly claimed its missile range tops out at 2,000 km. This strike attempt doubles that number overnight. The Khorramshahr-4 that likely carried out the attack can also deliver cluster warheads, the same munitions that have been devastating Israeli cities for three weeks. Look at the map. A 4,000 km range from Tehran draws a circle that reaches Paris, London, and most of Europe. Every NATO capital that thought this war was a distant Middle Eastern problem just realized Iranian missiles could theoretically reach their doorstep. Source: @sentdefender WSJ

🇮🇷🇺🇸 How Iran hit the "unhittable" jet The F-35 is invisible to radar. It was never invisible to heat. Iran likely used infrared tracking systems that detect engine exhaust instead of radar signatures. Because these systems emit no energy, the F-35's warning systems never alerted the pilot he was being targeted. The suspected weapon: Iran's 358 missile, a hybrid between a loitering drone and a surface-to-air missile that hunts using optical and infrared sensors, bypassing stealth entirely. Stealth dominates radar. Physics doesn't care. Source: AiTelly

He's been called Eric since 1937. Came with a little lined notebook and everything that has ever been done on him has been noted by his humans. Including an exorbitant engine bill in the 1960s which was noted with three exclamation marks. We also have some write-ups of trips that he's been on

We have a very old Rover called Eric. He was an ARP car in the war. He lived in Richmond upon Thames and retired to the west country with his human. I'd love to know what Eric saw during his early career. Now in his 90s his life is just pure pleasure but back then he will have seen stuff
