Sadly for Sky news watchers and commentators, the recent wind and solar "drought" didn't mean we all went back to caves. instead, we had no blackouts, no brownouts, and gas use still reduced. grid and home batteries did a lot of work, as did hydro. reneweconomy.com.au/australia-just…

Wildlife-vehicle collisions cost the US around $8 to $10 billion every year. 200 human deaths, 26,000 injuries, and about a million animals dead. A standard wildlife overpass with fencing costs as little as $5 to $10 million. If the US spent $8 billion a year on them, we could build a 800+ a year. Banff National Park built 44 crossings over three decades. Wildlife-vehicle collisions there dropped by 80%. The crossings paid for themselves in avoided property damage and injuries within a few years. The evidence is strong: wildlife crossings save animal lives, reduce injuries, and often pay back substantial costs over time. The remaining challenge is finding the will to build them.

We’ve owned multiple ICE vehicles over multiple decades, always maintained them, regular oil change, high mileage, one truck had 450,000 miles and we sold it it in one day Another truck had 180,000 miles, sold it in 12 hours Bought our last ICE vehicle in 2012 All EV since 2021 Now we have a choice, and we will never buy another ICE vehicle We’re very happy not to ever have to go for an oil change or check the hoses and belts it’s also very nice not to have to worry about any global fossil fuel disaster

EV drivers have been ICE drivers, they don’t need your outdated opinion.

30+ plus years driving ICE cars. Last 4 were BMWs. All tuned with my last one having 450hp. Awesome car. Will never own one again. Once I got into an M3P I was sold. Had it for about a year and trying to convince my wife that although it’s a bad financial decision we can afford a MYP. Cause I just want one. Never going back to ICE.

Leave it to Legacy Auto dealers to mislabel a Model Y Standard as premium and charge +$5k over MSRP for a USED one. Can go buy one brand new for $5k less

The Global South is accelerating the age of electricity because of the Iran War. We're in the midst of a visible pivot toward distributed renewables, grid-scale energy storage, and electric mobility THREAD

Well, the data is out. According to @nikitabier's chart, I'm the 2nd highest source of content reshared by @Rainmaker1973, with around 1,700 of my posts. For years people accused me of being his shadow account because of how often this happened. His reposts pulled millions of views while the originals on my page got almost nothing. Grateful to @ViralRushX speaking up, and to @nikitabier and the X team for finally putting attribution on the table. Looking forward to the changes that reward original creators. 🙏

Oil inventories are falling at the fastest rate in years, but the bigger story isn't today's stock draw. Every supply shock reminds the world why electrification, batteries and domestic renewable energy are strategically valuable. The less dependent an economy is on imported oil, the less vulnerable it becomes to events beyond its control. Could this simply be cost curve gravity at work? Years of underinvestment, project delays and declining mature fields eventually show up somewhere. First inventories fall. Then prices rise. The irony is that every oil price spike strengthens the economics of the technologies replacing it. Higher fuel prices inevitably accelerate EV adoption, EV trucks, rooftop solar, behind-the-meter batteries and grid-scale storage as households, businesses and fleets look for ways to reduce exposure to volatile oil markets. For the first time in our industrial age, humanity has an off-ramp. Previous oil shocks left us with few alternatives. Today we can electrify transport, generate power locally and store energy at scale. Markets have a funny way of solving shortages: they accelerate disruption.

They call me a grifter. ExxonMobil's CEO made $44.1 million last year. He makes more in five hours than a climate scientist makes in a year. The people in my replies calling me a grifter have a paper trail going back to Philip Morris. Steve Milloy billed tobacco $92,500 a year. The CO2 Coalition took over $1M from Koch and Mercer. #ClimateScience #ExxonMobil #ClimateDisinformation #BigOil #ClimateChange READ, SHARE, SUBSCRIBE: chrisgloninger.substack.com/p/they-call-me…

Interesting live snapshot of the GB grid. Nationally, wind and solar currently provide 63.3% of electricity while gas is just 7.7%, with a carbon intensity of 63 gCO₂/kWh. Right now 3 GB regions are simultaneously at 0 gCO₂/kWh: North Scotland, South Scotland and North Wales & Merseyside. North West England is sitting at just 2 gCO₂/kWh. North Scotland has now recorded 666 strict zero carbon days since 2020, including a current record run of 18 days 15.5 hours. This does not mean the whole UK runs on batteries for weeks. It is abundant renewables, some nuclear, imports and regional power flows increasingly working together. #NetZero #Climate #Wind #Solar #Scotland #AirPollution #EV #Health

344 MW Wind Farm in Chile directly connects to 57 MW/285 MWh battery plant. First wind farm in Chile to do so. Wind electricity will be stored and subsequently delivered, often at times of peak demand. Wind/battery improving reliability! Cheap too! pv-magazine-latam.com/2026/05/15/eng…
