Healthcare AI will be bigger than legal AI, bigger than coding AI. But most investors still dont see it. Heres the math that changes everything 🧵

🩺 @sullyai has returned over 30 million minutes to physicians — more time with patients, less on paperwork. @baseten powers this with their optimized inference stack built using NVIDIA Blackwell, NVFP4, TensorRT LLM, and NVIDIA Dynamo, to run frontier open models like gpt oss 120b. The result: 10x cost reduction and 65% faster responses for workflows like clinical note generation. 🔗 Read the blog: nvda.ws/468smA3

Fun feature, you can share any file by generating a link and people can jump into your file and history. This is the YC analysis: tryshortcut.ai/share/160e0c6d…

Codes are limited at tryshortcut.ai Beyond doing your work, it also has near perfect feature parity on Excel. Directly edit, import, and export files. That means there is no reason to go back to Excel. It's like going back to VScode after Cursor.

I was blown away today at the number of ways high school students are using AI. Cheating has always been around, but the efficiency of cheating is exponentially increasing with generative AI. While my insights came from a sample of one, they were so convincing that I believe the findings can be applied across the 18m high school students in the US. If you don't believe me, ask one. 10 Takeaways: 1) Use of generative AI in writing papers is everywhere, as in it's out of control. 2) Students are not concerned about hallucinations given they're relatively infrequencies. 3) The amount of time being spent on homework is down by as much as 50%. 4) Teachers can't keep up. Not only is ChatGPT and Gemini being used for writing papers, students are washing the generated language with 3rd party tools (e.g., QuillBot) to make AI undetectable. 5) If a teacher accuses a student of using these tools, the student will likely have plausible deniability. 6) Students are using their endless creativity to workaround administrator's cheating roadblocks. For example, ChatGPT is often blocked on school Wi-Fi so the students just use their hotspots. 7) College admission essays are most often written by the machine. As evidence of how prevalent this is, Duke University said, “Essays are very much part of our understanding of the applicant, we’re just no longer assuming that the essay is an accurate reflection of the student’s actual writing ability." 8) While school administrators view this as cheating, students don't. 9) Since "everyone is using the tools", you're at a major disadvantage if you're not using AI for schoolwork. 10) Generative tools are little help with math. Separately, the tools are used to create example test questions (by uploading study guides), which I view as a novel use case. The Big Picture: Initially I was shocked at hearing how widespread generative AI is being used in school. After reflecting on it, I landed on the view that the students using these tools are on the right track. You have to embrace these tools to have a seat in the job market down the road. And it won't be just information workers, skilled labor will undoubtedly need to leverage AI to stay relevant.

The car was invented in 1886 but horses weren’t replaced as a means for transportation until 1920’s for early adopter regions and 1950’s everywhere. Transformative technology doesn’t appear everywhere immediately. The future is not evenly distributed and not easily distributed.
