The bidders preferred confidentiality but were forced to clear up the"misinformation" circulating including some caused by Clive and yourself. Best to show some sense and return to a neutral style of report.

Couple of notable things here from the EFL. It says it only received formal written notification of the preferred bidder at #SWFC earlier this week & due diligence now commencing (worth knowing for potential timescale). And, given how many people insisted this wasn't the case over the last two weeks: "It is also important to state that the EFL Regulations do not prohibit the identity of a preferred bidder being revealed."

More details... #SWFC Three members of the consortium selected as the preferred bidder to buy Sheffield Wednesday have been revealed. The consortium describe themselves as a privately funded group of investors led by James Bord and Felix Roemer. Bord founded Short Circuit Science, a sports analytics business which provides advanced modelling and decision support for multiple professional football clubs. He completed a takeover of Scottish Championship side Dunfermline last year and is said to have been involved in football ownership across several European clubs. Roemer is described as a German-born entrepreneur best known for his achievements in the online consumer sector – including finance technology, gambling and software. He is a shareholder in Short Circuit Science alongside Bord. One other individual, Alsharif Faisal Bin Jamil, is described as the consortium’s Chief Executive. He is described as a member of the Jordanian Royal Family. His LinkedIn account shows he is a board member at Dunfermline and at Cordoba. He is also the Group CEO of Short Circuit Science. In a media release, the group say they will focus “on long-term, responsible investment supported solely by its own capital, with an emphasis on stable governance, operational discipline and data-informed decision making.” “The consortium supports a long-term sustainable ownership of this historic club and is committed to preserving and enhancing its legacy. It aims to strengthen Sheffield Wednesday to enable the club to regain its position at the pinnacle of the game.”
