Medical specialties as Pokémon. A 🧵. 1st gen (sorry @joshmcgoo) Emergency Medicine—Ditto Changes into basically every other specialty depending on the situation. May not get all the details perfect, but gets the job done

@Agent_Mondello @agraybee That is quite literally the exact opposite of what happened. They were forced not to draw any conclusions about the obstruction case they laid out the merits of in extensive detail

Everything Price Sufferer (but especially eggs)
My favorite Robert Mueller story was when he released a comprehensive report concluding that Russia helped Trump win the election but Bill Barr said "nuh uh" and the media used that as proof the libs were hysterical.

@highbrow_nobrow @jathorpmfm Just saying “false” doesn’t make it so. I’m going out on a limb and guessing that RFK has done vastly more research and spent much more time looking into it than you ever have or ever will. Do better.

@AlanPlotzker @ReichlinMelnick They weren't wrong about the hart celler act at all. They weren't wrong about the evils of hyphenated Americans, which Teddy Roosevelt wrote and spoke about often in the early 1900s. Time has vindicated their criticisms.

This stuff is basically indistinguishable from nativist propaganda 100-150 years ago against the Irish, the Italians, and the Chinese. And history should remind us that there were massacres and pogroms of Chinese immigrants in the 1880s fuels by some of this rhetoric.

If you ever come up against a person who denies viruses or germ theory, just ask them this question and it’ll stump them. Every. Single. Time.

@drtomcowan Can you provide a paper of something you think causes disease and has been isolated to your standards?

You absolutely need the meningitis vaccine(s). Bacterial Meningitis has an INCREDIBLY high mortality and morbidity rate. The vaccines are very safe and very protective. Honestly, imagine using your time on earth to endanger children? Astonishing.
Hanna’s World 🌍@HannasWorldUK17

I don’t know who needs to hear this but you don’t need the meningitis vaccine. You don’t need any vaccine. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

@jumpjettwit @ABridgen “Strange that people want a way to prevent a horrific, potentially deadly disease after an outbreak of that disease” Aseptic meningitis is generally a headache/neck pain that is self limited Bacterial meningitis is a severe, extremely dangerous infection. Hope this help 👍🏻

@caliphofgod @ratcli39423 @AlastairMcA30 Those are all ways of exposing your immune system to a pathogen (or relevant part of it) in order to develop adaptive immunity without actually getting the thing you’re aiming to prevent/ameliorate. That’s the core concept of what a vaccine is, and has been for ages

@ratcli39423 @AlastairMcA30 I suppose you just accept the definition of what is a vaccine... just changing... to include everything from viral bodies... to bacterial poisons, to bacterial parts, or whole dead bacterial bodies... and now.. MRNA injections as all being the same thing... eh?

@caliphofgod @MichaelRigg860 @AlastairMcA30 That’s…exactly what traditional vaccines are. A killed/weakened pathogen or a relevant part of it that is used to develop adaptive immunity If this is something you didn’t know, you should consider not blathering about topics that you don’t understand the most basic aspects of

@noreply369 @dilanesper “Trans-identified male” is a transphobe term that does not appear in scientific literature at all. It is not correct. The accepted and widely used terms in scientific and medical literature are trans man and trans woman. You aren’t clarifying anything, just being a dickhead

Hello_MOTO@noreply369·
For me, it reduces confusion to use correct pronouns. "Trans-identified male/female” adds to the discussion while clearly delineating the point of contention. Your way: “Why won’t you let her into the women’s track meet?" My way: “He is a trans-identified male and belongs in the men’s division.” See?

If I do a thread about a trans woman and call her "her", and you come in my thread and "correct" me and say "you mean him", I'm probably going to block you. Beyond expressing prejudice, you are being immature and uninteresting. It adds nothing to go into threads and say that.

@Unsplarfable @OccupiedW2583 @easternair355 @elonmusk You have to remember that MAGA are dumb as fuck. They think Nazis were left wing, that immigrants commit lots of crime, that left wing political violence is more common than right, and that COVID deaths were a big conspiracy. They are extremely stupid people

@OccupiedW2583 @AlanPlotzker @easternair355 @elonmusk yeah hard to say whether a guy who toured the world giving anti-gay sermons & is CEO of his own ultraconservative evangelical missionary org is at all right wing when all we have to go on is all of the above & the politically motivated killing spree he committed hmm a real puzzle
