Ended with a whimper not a bang. The flaws which killed us this season shown again: Unable to play 90 minutes Panicking at first set-back Complete lack of leadership when it gets tough Manager unable to react to opponent changes There is now a worrying pattern under DR of failing to deliver when it matters and being too conservative too long. Today after 50 minutes it was obvious we needed big changes, they didn’t arrive till we were 2-1 down. As for the players, they go missing when it matters way too often.

Going to be a lot of anger towards Danny Rohl, and I understand why - the substitutions, yet again, are absolutely baffling today. Too late to make changes, then throws Gassama on the right wing where it doesn’t work. Then ends up having three strikers playing on top of one another, with no left winger at all… and no midfield whatsoever. He’s done well overall since coming in, but there’s been too many moments within games he’s made some properly baffling choices.

@jonnyrmcfarlane I don’t want to hear ‘we need to stick with Rhol’ Jonny. He needs to go tonight. Comes out second best constantly in the big games.

Talk about a game of two halves. Rangers dismal and Hearts brilliant in the second period. Danny Rohl schooled by McInnes. Now just six wins from 14 against top six in league and cup: 42%.

FT, Hearts 2-1 #Rangers. After a strong first half that was a meek way for a title race to end. Rohl's side had no answers after the break, their inability to retain their level over 90 minutes again coming back to haunt them. After two split games they've lost twice.

#Rangers have gained control because their build-up is between the press of the two Hearts forwards - before one of their midfielders jumps up - time and again.

@EwenDCameron As a Rangers fan I hope we win but if we can’t do that then it’s better to lose. A draw only suits Celtic

@sophielouisecc So is everyone who didn’t vote Labour now being ‘punished’ by Keir Starmer?

In a 5 way contest it’s very likely that greens will be elected on a minority vote where they win It is deeply wrong to inflict detention centres in those areas as a ‘punishment’ when it’s likely that 70% of people wouldn’t have voted for them anyway It’s not serious politics

@Bbmorg If you vote for a party with an open border policy then I’m not sure you are entitled to view it as a punishment

@jeremycorbyn Interesting to see the amount of lefties that are now upset at the thought of illegal migrants pitching up in their towns. ‘We welcome refugees and open borders’ just not near me! Genius from Reform

Reform want to round up migrants and detain them indefinitely in areas that don’t vote for them. Yet for most of our media, it’s those marching for Palestine who are creating hatred & fear. These disgusting plans are an affront to democracy — and must be fiercely opposed.

If the choice is between having a detention centre and a Reform MP in your area, I expect detention centres may be about to surge in popularity.

It's called democracy. If the constituency votes in a Green MP who believes in allowing thousands of undocumented men in the country then they will be only too happy to have the detention camps in their area. Sorry Simon you're not reading the room on this one.
Simon Clarke@SirSimonClarke

We need to stop illegal immigration, but this is abhorrent from Reform. Zia is proposing the siting of detention centres expressly as a form of political punishment for people and places that don’t vote Reform - not just Green, but presumably Conservative, Liberal and Labour too. (And what about Reform voters in those constituencies?) It would almost certainly be deemed an abuse of ministerial power for political purposes, and as such would likely be stuck down in court before ever being implemented, wasting millions for the taxpayer without detaining anyone. If it were to go ahead, it would still represent an appalling waste of public money as these sites might well not be in any way suitable for the proposed centres, or near the other infrastructure required. What’s worse is that he is doing all this to provoke outrage and draw attention to Reform a few days out from the local elections. Reform know what they are doing. But this goes beyond a pre-election stunt. It’s declared as a major policy commitment, and should be treated as such. We need a proper plan to leave the ECHR and restore safe border controls, not gimmicks that wouldn’t survive first contact with reality.
