@AndyPallotta @nysut @AFTunion @NYSAFLCIO Yes! Let start with increasing the BOCES Aidable Salary Cap which has not changed in 32 years. We have been asking every year for at least 20 years. Imagine running todays state government on the 1990 budget amount.

📣 We have an opportunity in this NYS budget to give our public schools and higher education institutions the resources they need to help students succeed ! @nysut @AFTunion @NYSAFLCIO

@Goodell_Roger It’s time to change the coin toss rule. If not for all games, definitely for playoff games. You owe this to the Bills, the Chiefs, all the teams, and all NFL fans.

This is truly remarkable. Justice Alito thinks there should be no consequences for the kind of speech he favors. He thinks consequences for free speech is an unjust limitation on that speech. “They called me a bigot” is the same, to Justice Alito, as, “I have no free speech.”

Friend told me her weekend plans, which included a birthday party. I said, “Someone is having a birthday party? Like a small dinner, right?” No, but she said there would be “less than 50 people.” I don’t know who needs to hear this, but large gatherings are a very bad idea.

Here the president falsely claims frontline healthcare workers are profiting by claiming false #COVID19 diagnoses. In reality, they are working nonstop, often without adequate PPE, because this administration failed. To date, more than 1,700 have died.

@decourl @roccitynews Mostly because we need her out of office and to elect a mayor that can actually get something done. Can bring people together. Heal. Move forward. Someone that follows the law.

Mayor Lovely Warren's indictment is expected to intensify the calls for her resignation that began a month ago. She has said she won't step down, but state and municipal laws leave room for the possibility that she could be removed from office. rochestercitynewspaper.com/rochester/mayo…

@niftyrosa1 @Verizon Honestly I am in front of the screen much more going hybrid than I was full remote. Trying to balance it but very difficult right now as we run live classes and try to engage kids virtually at the same time.

@Verizon None of the above. If sitting too close to a television was bad for the eyes, what will a computer, iPhone, iPad do? Now they want all children to sit 5 days a week in front of one?

We’ve all had to adjust to distance learning. Part of our Citizen Verizon plan is to help empower teachers with teaching resources to enable students to develop the knowledge and skills to thrive in the digital age. What would you like more training in? #WeAreAllStudents

@nanco1457 @UFT I would say that the closings cut the spread considerably. Nothing will be perfect.

@UFT What about the teachers and students in those zip codes who travel to other areas in the city to work and go to school. Doesn't that put those school communities in danger?

Governor Cuomo just announced that schools in the 9 hotspot ZIP codes will be closed starting tomorrow--Tuesday, Oct. 6. Students and staff in those hotspots will go immediately to remote learning.

@WorldWide_Story @UFT Masks work when worn. Not fair to keep those following the protocols from a proper education. And be careful what you wish for.

@UFT While the gov is closing schools in 9 zips you should be advocating for #FullRemote because the virus knows no barriers and transcends all zips. Teachers/students who live in those zips travel to schools outside of area. Come on!! Wake up!! Listen 2 your members!

The nerve of people who ask “how are you going to pay for it?” whenever we propose building advanced public education, healthcare, & climate infrastructure yet defend a system where Trump pays $750 in taxes and Amazon pays none is beyond me.

My dad is a lifelong Republican. He lives in TX. He entered last night undecided. He just texted to say that, even though he agrees w/ Trump on a lot of policies, the debate showed him that he cannot hold his nose & vote for him. There are a lot of voters like my dad out there

@rachbarnhart Why can't it be a time for just black lives? Why is it so hard for other groups whose lives are also important, to let it be the black lives turn for a change? What is so hard about that?

“saying blue lives matter does not honor them or other police officers any more. It only creates a dichotomy, forcing people to choose between advocating for Black lives or being deemed a rebel with no regard for the lives of officers.” ydr.com/story/news/202…
