I have noticed that some Dan Corder fans think he made some kind of a breakthrough on Piers Morgan's show. I had to rewatch to understand why. He had some creative insults, which is a good debate tactic, but says nothing about the actual argument. As far as the argument is concerned, all he did was to argue that race laws are not race laws because it discriminates on other grounds as well - that race laws are not race laws when it also discriminates on the basis of gender. What Dan and his fans don't seem to comprehend is that if a law discriminates on the basis of race and gender, that only means that it's both a race law and a gender law. Dan's argument is the logical equivalent of saying that apartheid didn't discriminate against black people, because it discriminated against Indian people too. Imagine how bizarre it would sound if I tried to make an argument on the basis of Dan's logic. Furthermore, he went on the argue that race laws are good for the economy, because the black middle class is growing as a result of it. He went on to argue that black people need race laws (even though he denies that they are race laws because they are also gender laws) to succeed, by suggesting that if it weren't for these laws, the black middle class wouldn't have grown. I find this type of reasoning utterly condescending, not to white people, but to black people. Dan's entire argument is based on the belief that black people cannot succeed by themselves and require government intervention. There is a term for this. It's called the soft bigotry of low expectations. Some have argued that I didn't respond to these claims and interpret this as some kind of a win. I didn't respond because he said this right at the end of the debate after I had made my final remarks. He made an exceptionally weak argument and an easy one to dismantle.

Dont fall into the trap of thinking the racist comments on these streets over the past couple of days speaks for anybody other than the shills who are panicking because the source of the cash they were getting to help sell this country into communism has dried up.

@Zels77 We passed the days of black players being called that. Don’t recall a headline saying Siya’s the first quota player to win a RWC. We are a tough nation, we’ve been through worse than Trump or bad government decisions

@Zels77 And now it’s up (again) to Siya and the boys in a green & gold to “fix” and galvanize the country. We need a Siya post match interview in moments like this

Sporting heroes taking sides in political situations polarises SA. Here’s where the Springboks deserve all the plaudits as they are well aware of the load that they carry on their shoulders not as World Champs but as the champions for ALL South Africans.

@Rolandschoeman @dricusduplessis You see @Rolandschoeman, to be a SA role model, you represent not only your own culture but that of many. This is where I take my hat off to the Springboks, they know what it takes and how to galvanize a country beyond their achievements & their own differences. Take some notes

Regardless of what happens in the second half - I think Libbok has run his course. He just can’t cut it in the highest pressure situations. Time and time and time and time again. Very talented - our most attacking flyhalf, but you need to be more than that.

🗣️ 'You don't agree South Africa are the best team in the world?' 🗣️ 'No! Ireland are!' Gregor Paul has no hesitation in naming the best team in the world, and the back to back World Champion Springboks barely make it in third! | ☘️🇳🇿🇿🇦 @BankOfIreland | #NeverStopCompeting

@RaviGaj20089803 @FrontRowRugbyXV It took many years after democracy to get to this point. It didn’t change overnight, we were patient for years. So why can’t others be patient now. And if they don’t want to change, then it’s their hearts after all

@Alberic06 @FrontRowRugbyXV If you haven’t worked out by now what the Boks stand for and how much the team means to our country and vice versa, then there’s no amount of winning or patient logic that will penetrate.

If I was in charge of SARU I would never schedule a Springboks v All Blacks Test in Cape Town. Why? Because half the crowd turn up to support our opponents. We effectively cede home ground advantage because of the Cape Crusaders.
