The information contained in the publicly accessible (and APP endorsed) database contained everything needed for the petition, with the obvious exception of a signature. We don't know if the info was used for this purpose. We do know it COULD have been.

Great job of convincing an undecided voter to vote for this, by the way.

You people need to get a grip, you sound absolutely saturated in desperation to shut down something the majority of Albertans voted in favour of having. People signed on their own free will, if individuals from Centurion project made a mistake in regards to their data base that mistake is on them, not on the motion for independence itself. We are having our referendum in October, cope any way you want..

@timbosaucer @Mtn40A @WSOnlineNews The court has asked for all names and volunteers from century , republican party and asked EA for the names of all the canvassers. If their is any cross over names ( Im sure there is ) than its over it proves organizations working together with each other

@CoryBMorgan How many CP members/supporters were canvassers? The fact is that every single canvasser had access to the database. The only question that remains is if the information from that database was used in a way it could have been used.

On this I can't agree. The only breach was with the Centurion Project bunch and they had nothing to do with the petitioning process. Stay Free Alberta had nothing to do with this. Their petition is valid. The folks behind the list abuse however.....

The database was available to every single canvasser. The only question currently remaining is whether or not this database was used in a way it could have been used.

@AnothrWTFmoment @jengerson @EScrimshaw @MLA_Danielle If it was definitive charges would be pressed already. There haven't been charges, so it is not definitive. The Centurion project is separate from the APP, SFA, and the petition. I'm waiting on further evidence.

Apropos of nothing, Premier @MLA_Danielle now has every reason in the world to throw out the CI petition and put an end to the immediate possibility of secession referendum -- at least until faith in Elections Alberta is restored. Let's see what happens next.

@njcorny @jengerson @MLA_Danielle The petitioners did have access to the database created by CP, we know it was shared with foreign entities, and we know that it was compiled from the Alberta Electors list. The only unknown right now is IF that information was used in the way it COULD have been used.

@jengerson @MLA_Danielle The Centurian Project has nothing to do with Stay Free Alberta. The petitioners did not have access to voting lists. What you are saying is like saying the Forever Canada petition should be thrown out because the NDP have voter lists and the NDP supports Forever Canada.

@YukonStrong I have questions. Did any Centurion Project or RPA members/supporters collect signatures? Did any SFA or APP members/supporters who were gathering signatures access the database? Due to the intertwined nature of each organization, they were one group in this instance.

@unacceptfringe @cenobyte3 @kenhansonalta Their members/supporters were canvassers. The list was also made publicly available. Any canvasser, regardless of affiliation, had access and could have used that list. The Valid/Verified numbers will be interesting, as long as no seeded names appear.

@Maria524390531 @JeffreyRWRath @gilmcgowan It was made publicly available, some canvassers are part of this group, and if names were illegally used then they should absolutely be removed or deemed invalid. Outside of finding seeded names or randomly calling someone, there is no way to invalidate a forged signature.

They shouldn’t be able to make false claims like this.

Holy crap. What they’re saying is that if the name on the separatist petition corresponds with a name and address an official list (eg the voter list), then it will be accepted as valid — even if the ACTUAL person in question never signed the petition. This is a recipe for fraud!

@Autumblues @gilmcgowan EA released the numbers in a Valid/Verified format. The 50,000 or so signatures that were removed were deemed unverified for a number of different reasons. The same will happen here, unless the seeded names appear on any of the sheets.

@gilmcgowan Odd they disallowed some on the Forever Canadian petition. Especially if they pretty much have to accept all of them.

@mantalicious @gilmcgowan @North_Resists Rath himself said that the numbers in these areas represent # of UCP voters who signed. They are leaving out the UCP voter part to make it seem much higher than the true 30-35% number.

@gilmcgowan @North_Resists So 93% of the entire population of Rimbey–Rocky Mountain House–Sundre, put their name on a petition to separate, despite 13% of that riding voting NDP in the last election, and if any one of them didn’t actually put their name on that petition there’s noting they can do?

@Tars_Canada @WazmanW @JasonLavigneAB They had to produce ID, it was not required to be recorded. The information that was allegedly obtained would include everything necessary, except a signature, to sign the petition. It is not a stretch to see how this could potentially be used by some people.

@thecritcomp @david_parker @furmsies There were 0 signatures removed for confirmed fraud. Elections Alberta released the numbers as Valid vs Verified. This means that around 50,000 signatures could not/were not verified, not that they were fraudulent. Some may have been, but that was never released by Elections AB

@furmsies The Forever Canada petition by the Polish halal mortgage salesman has literally had tens of thousands of signatures disallowed and struck off because of confirmed fraud 😂

I sent an email to Elections Alberta confirming my identity and informing them that I did NOT sign the separatist petition. I encourage you to do the same. The separatists have shown they will lie and cheat, and I don't put forgery past them. Better to be safe than sorry.

Life expectancy continues to rise in Alberta. The list changes everything. Areas that were "wins" for the movement are now in question.

@cutecanukgirl If you removed all $/L taxes ($0.37 provincial + federal), gas is still over $1.40/L. This doesn't change with independence. There are a lot of significant risks in separation, saving an average of $1,700/yr doesn't cancel that risk.

@poggdiggity @JonFromAlberta I am highly skeptical that this goes beyond the vote in October. There are too many questions and not enough clear answers.

I'm happy to see discontent with the document getting aired out early. If we don't work out a path forward, a legal framework and constitution quickly enough we might end up the same way most new countries did: A civil war. Let's purify and distill this down to something pure and unassailable.
