It remains a time of huge concern, which is strange as football is all supposed to be vaguely fun. As referenced in the post, grateful for the likes of @action4albion and @TheLiquidatorP1 who are drawing attention to the issues at the club on a *slightly* more consistent basis.

@MikeyWBAFC @JonW1995 I think this is an important point. Would easily accept an apology of sorts, doesn't even need to be an explanation. Suspect it'll be silence til after some fee transfer 'good news' story. Fans aren't daft - the club must tread a certain corporate line - but folk shouldn't hide.

@magneticsparrow @EliasBurke In the absence of any statement from the club, supposition is all we are left with. Surely? I think there are valid grounds to question decision making, and describe what we do know as unprofessional. Bruce said as much on Friday. Which bit needs evidence btw? (Genuinely?)

@AlbionOnSunday @EliasBurke A shallow assessment; if you are going to offer an opinion you should at least have some evidence. Pure supposition.

Todays post focuses on the lack of professionalism that has seeped into the way #WBA is being governed. Thomas-Asante's goal was not celebrated any less for that frustration, but nor should it allow Lai and Gourlay to escape the kind of scrutiny needed. albiononsunday.wordpress.com/2022/09/03/lai…

@magneticsparrow @EliasBurke Yes, I see your point. RG has chosen a fairly impossible job in that he has to legitimise the actions/decisions of Lai. That makes him complicit imo, and shares Lai's blame. There seems an unprofessional culture that concerns me greatly; solvency is a low bar to clear as CEO.

@AlbionOnSunday RG only accountable to the shareholders & chooses to keep the AA. The AA will ask unless @EliasBurke gets there first. I don't get the hostility! There are difficulties but the club is solvent, at least appears to be. Anger should be directed at Lai, but that's a waste of energy

@magneticsparrow I've not said the team have failed, there is much to be positive about on the pitch. I hold no issue with Bruce over this either. With regards to the AA, that is great, and I look forward to seeing his response when held accountable. I fear more warm words only though, again.

@AlbionOnSunday Can you name another club that puts the CEO and manager in front of a group of fans (The Albion Assembly) & allow them to ask pertinent questions. The denigration of Gourlay is unfair & as yet the team has not failed.

@griffraces Yes, I think the bare minimum would be to address it. Never expect a running commentary on decision making, but if you profess a wish to "re-connect with fans", then this would be a good time to start. I'm not sure Ron reads my blog though?

@AlbionOnSunday Spot on, agree with you there. What i find disgraceful is the CEO Gourlay has made no statement about the shambles of Deadline Day & he was supposed to be re-connecting with the fan base!
