It’s not just that the Thunder lost this series. It’s the fact that unless they make some brave decisions with their big 3, no version of Shai, J-Dub and Chet are going or be better than Wemby, Castle and Harper moving forward. This was the one they were supposed to get before the Spurs were ready.

As a Canadian, I have a serious question: How the hell is Donald Trump still in power after everything he's said, done, and been accused of? Explain it to me like I'm in kindergarten. Because nothing about it makes sense.

@Hookem214 Is OKC dirty or are they pansies? The hate is so forced. Both teams stole a home game, but have been great otherwise on their own court. It’s been a hype series, and we are lucky the two major OKC injuries didn’t affect that.

The NBA has incentives to call this game 7 fairly @NBA @OfficialNBARefs -Validate the NBA cup by having the two finalists meet again -Shai is struggling and OKC have an all-time bad reputation -establish Wemby as the face of the league, in a league without a true "face" -Global outreach, bring in more Latin American and French/European viewers You would be stupid to give OKC favorable whistle. Think about your league Adam Silver.

@realyung4 @pryor_notices @TVsJerry Yes actual flopping is, most of the time what is being called a flop isn’t a flop which is what I’m referring to.

@Alex11297130 @pryor_notices @TVsJerry Flopping is illegal too but depending on who is reffing they may or may not call it. Or in this posts terms, depending on who the cop is he may or may not arrest. Bribery, lack of care or just being in bed with the perp is why.

@patrickbetdavid SGA learned to flop from Harden but took it to levels that shouldn’t exist. Needs to be able to be challenged and if confirmed a flop a tech given. This shit needs to be punished not praised.

SGA learned flopping from LeBron. The NBA is a bad product when the face of the league is a flopper. NBA viewership could rise again if Wemby becomes the face of the league. Wemby’s toughness will be a great example for the next generation of the kids coming up.
Hater Report@HaterReport

Michael Wilbon says kids around the world will be learning how to FLOP if SGA wins the title this year and Jay Williams WALKED OFF the set 😭💀 “If SGA goes back to back, and enters next season as a two time champion and two time MVP, guess what? There will be kids on the playground learning how to flop”

This app is becoming oversaturated with takes on SGA. Here's the only take that matters: SGA is a superstar with zero star power. Even if you ignore his disgusting amount of flopping: He doesn't provide above the rim highlights like LeBron/Jordan. He doesn't provide insane 3 pointers like Steph. He doesn't provide crazy defensive highlights like Wemby. Even his assists are the most boring & basic passes imaginable. Much like Tom Brady, SGA's career goes against everything that makes sports great. A player doesn't deserve MVPs when their team is still great without them. A player doesn't deserve rings or Finals MVPs when their performance consistently falls off a cliff in the playoffs. Perhaps someday SGA will prove this wrong by raising his game in the playoffs, but at this moment and time, it's the truth. Ultimately, the worst thing about SGA isn't his flopping, it's how he's a reminder that even in sports, you can get farther by being lucky than you can on your own merit.

If the Thunder go back-to-back, I genuinely think a lot of people are going to tune out of the NBA. Nobody wants to watch a team built on favorable whistles, theatrical flopping, and algorithm-driven hype masquerading as basketball purity

This is why basketball is ass now. Being good at getting calls is one thing, whatever tf SGA out there doing and what all of OKC thrives on is not basketball. It’s pathetic. Why would we want to watch a predetermined game that isn’t even halfway believable?
Hater Report@HaterReport

The Spurs have the ball down 98-88 • Refs miss a goaltending call • Ball goes off Chet’s foot • They ignore the coach’s challenge request • SGA gets free throws • Mitch Johnson is hit with a tech • Lu Dort and Tony Brothers laughing on the sideline Us fans deserve better than this smh

All the 9 fouls that were drawn by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in Game 5 vs. San Antonio Spurs - Western Conference Finals - 2026 NBA Playoffs. With replays, when they were available. Including the technical free throw (I did not count as a foul, don't worry). He went 16/17 (94.1%) from the line. To be honest, it felt like more fouls, but observations dictate otherwise, and facts are what matter. Also on YouTube: youtu.be/YeC9HxQZp40

The Spurs are getting worked over by the officials. I don't get why the #NBA is so dedicated to OKC winning. It's a pretty terrible city, doesn't really reflect anything larger for basketball, but they consistently, consistently get the BIGGEST whistle in the league by far.

@MaddJournalist Funny we same the same clips over and over then yall say it’s all game. Watch the game and you have intense basketball. Don’t dwell on a bad call or two. Wemby and Castle flopped in the paint last night, no Thunder fans are crying about it.

I’ve played, coached, reffed & covered basketball for 30+ years. I’m also NOT a Spurs fan. What OKC has done — building half their strategy to manipulate the refs on every possession — is a disgrace to the game and awful to watch. This is Harden on steroids. Fans deserve better.

Let me be clear, if I wasn't already. No one can tell me those two Spurs vets (and others) aren't completely fed up. When they checked in, they were CLEARLY on a mission. And as we all saw and were told during the previous series when exasperated Wemby finally swung HIS ELBOW, this is what happens when the NBA doesn't enforce the rules designed to protect players and the supposed integrity of the game of basketball. Suddenly, rival fanbases are confronted and outraged when San Antonio finally decides to match that physicality and retaliate in the closing minutes of Game 5. Yet, those same toxic critics stayed completely silent while their own team spent five games grabbing, pulling, and straight up flopping repeatedly because the league's BEST officials actively allow it. We live in a world where people see what they want to see how they want to see it. Everyone spouting their own version of the truth. Well, stay tuned and watch what happens when integrity of this game continues to go out the window.
SpursRΞPORTΞR@SpursReporter

How's this for a plot twist? Some are saying that Victor Wembanyama secretly instructed Bismack Byombo and Mason Plumblee. Moments later they both picked up their dirty fouls. In light of this, Stephon Castle's post-game presser comments sound quite differently in tone. He complained that OKC guards very physically while Spurs players “don’t get that same luxury to be able to play as physical on the other end at times.” Game 6 is setting up to be a WAR.

So many things went wrong tonight. Tony Brothers & crew made sure OKC was in penalty every quarter. Spurs couldn’t be physical. On top of that, Spurs were careless with the ball. Spurs panicked and forced terrible shots in the half court. Spurs were soft in their point of attack defense half the game. Spurs were the dumber team tonight. Credit OKC they played better but they also got extra home cooking with Brothers & crew tonight.

This kind of stuff is getting ridiculous. The NBA has to have a frank conversation on how to ref the Thunder. This is not, in any way, a foul on Johnson.
