Like I know we are worried about Munoz going up all the time, but can we *please* switch it up and involve Estêvão a little bit more

@mnufcnews I doubt Bongi wanted wingback but he puts in the effort and gets opportunities. I think Shashoua should be ahead of him now (and just get more minutes generally).

@mr_ian @micgrochowski Have you played Control? Always would recommend that (same universe, should be more affordable). Otherwise I’m very much loving Veilguard but it will be trickier if you haven’t played the earlier games (especially inquisition - another rec if you haven’t!)

This latest "hurr hurr you don't win anything" attack line that liberals have been using on the left is so obnoxious. It's like yes, you win elections under the current system by being a warmongering corporate whore. That's the problem the real left is trying to address. Duh. Yes, those who align themselves with the Democratic Party win elections. But then what do they do with that win once they've won? They commit fucking genocide. They start wars. They kill the ecosystem. They repay favors to the donor class at the expense of everyone else. Republicans also win elections, and then do these same things. If the current system means you will lose elections unless you are loyal to a murderous, ecocidal, exploitative and tyrannical power structure, then is the problem really losing elections, or is the problem the current system? And how much of a "win" are you even capable of in such a system if you actually care about making the world a better place? It's like that old joke. A policeman sees a drunk man searching for something under a streetlight and asks what the drunk has lost. He says he lost his keys and they both look under the streetlight together. After a few minutes the policeman asks if he is sure he lost them here, and the drunk replies, no, that he lost them in the park. The policeman asks why he is searching here, and the drunk replies, “this is where the light is.” Sure the Democratic Party is where the light is, but it ain't where the keys are. You can spend your whole life getting the "win" of being where the light is, but it will never get you the keys of peace, justice and a healthy world. Democrats going "hurr hurr, you never win anything" are standing under the streetlight boasting about how easily they can see the ground and making fun of the poor saps out there crawling around in the darkness where the keys could actually be. It's not enough to win, you've got to do good things with your win. Democrats do not do good things when they win, they do profoundly, shockingly evil things when they win. This is a problem, and the real adults in the room are trying to fix it by changing the system which is responsible for it.

Breathless coverage of Reform when the exit poll showed them on 13 seats is at exactly the same intensity when they end up with 4. Ultimately, this is just the kind of politics that Britain’s media feels comfortable platforming.

@LoonsC2C There’s been a lot of missteps, the consolation is that we have more promise now than we have for quite some time. On the pitch, we have a coach who actually does proactive subs and tactical changes. Hopefully off the pitch we see similar progressive moves. Come on the loons!

@AlexB606 Yeah it's clear Ramsay prefers Tani, just sucks that he's so expensive. If he was gone and we had two DP spots to fill this summer, and then also Rey? Sheesh

My wording was bad when I posted this, but I was worried last year about the lack of ambition from the old FO. Since this signing: Pukki: 12G 2A (2 this season) Arango: 21G 4A (15 this season) Salary: Pukki: 3.6mil/yr (8.875 all in) Arango: 2.1mil/yr (12.3 all in)

#MNUFC had the option to trade for Chicho Arango, apparently had an option to buy Chicho Arango, and instead is going for 33 year old Teemu Pukki who played just over half of the available minutes in his final 10 games in the championship. What.

@LoonsC2C Oof. The chance he missed 1st half today is a good example - if he ain’t scoring that, what is he contributing? We aren’t Man City who can afford the striker being quiet until he scores (which he isn’t). Wasn’t his worst game but q to be asked. But Ramsay seems aware of it.

@AlexB606 I did a deep dive with me and Eddie over where Pukki's goals and assists come from. I think we figured that between last year and this year, 80% of his goals and assists came against teams outside of the playoffs. Kinda wild

@LoonsC2C Would not disagree, especially with Rey being awol again (ok he’s here but is there a path for him this time?) but to his credit Pukki contributed with goal one today. Do need some more creativity. Hopefully Ramsay has some contacts with Chelsea academy still.

America will forever contend with careerist liberals willing to take the heat off the powerful by arguing (incessantly, stupidly, falsely) that progress is stymied *not* by an entrenched economic system perpetuating itself, but rather by the lowly individuals who recognize it.

Queen Warmonger Hillary Clinton Complains About "Men Starting Wars" Some days the Caitlin Johnstone articles just write themselves. During her self-titled annual awards ceremony at Georgetown University on Thursday, Hillary Clinton said that the biggest obstacle to peace and security around the world is “men starting wars.” During the Q&A segment of the event, Clinton was asked by a student, “What do you see as the biggest challenge for women, peace, and security over the next ten years?” “Well I think the biggest challenge is men starting wars,” Clinton replied, adding, “You know, I don’t think they have enough to do.” Which would have come across as a humorous and relatable answer, if it had come from pretty much anyone else on the entire planet. The single strongest argument against Hillary Rodham Clinton’s suggestion that only men start wars is the career of Hillary Rodham Clinton. This is after all the same woman who chortled with delight when she found out Muammar Gaddafi had been lynched in the streets following his US-led overthrow in Libya during her tenure as secretary of state, saying “I’m sure it did” when asked if his death had anything to do with her visit to the country. The same woman who as secretary of state promoted the plan of arming extremists in Syria with the goal of toppling Damascus. The same woman who as a senator played a pivotal role in convincing the Democratic Party to support the invasion of Iraq based on lies. The same woman who as first lady said she “urged” her husband Bill Clinton to launch the bombing campaign that would leave Serbia and Kosovo covered in cluster munitions. The same woman who as a US presidential candidate advocated a no-fly zone in Syria which would have required attacks on Russian war planes who violated it, and endorsed the same brinkmanship policies in Ukraine which eventually provoked the Russian invasion. When Tulsi Gabbard famously dubbed Clinton “the queen of warmongers” in 2019, it wasn’t just empty rhetoric. There is no woman alive who anyone could argue is more deserving of that title. If you’d have told me there was a Hillary Rodham Clinton Awards ceremony prior to my having read about it, I would have assumed it was an event where women receive trophies for killing large numbers of human beings with military violence. It is of course true that men have been the drivers of the overwhelming majority of wars throughout the ages, but that’s just what’s so disgusting about the modern iteration of “feminism” that Hillary Clinton rode to prominence on. The girlboss “feminism” of the Hillary Clinton age has ceased to mean advancing women’s interests and ensuring that women are treated as equals to men, and has become a vapid celebration of examples of women proving that they can be just as murderous, tyrannical and abusive as any man. That was the zeitgeist that Hillary Clinton rode her 2016 presidential campaign on, and when the American public recoiled in horror and refused to vote for her, it was spun as a victory for misogyny. It should have been spun as a victory for would-be bombing victims who live in US-targeted nations. Hillary Clinton is all the worst things about modern liberals and the Democratic Party. She is a blood-spattered psychopath who has dedicated her life to serving all the worst impulses of the human species — imperialism, militarism, capitalism, authoritarianism, and, yes, patriarchy — wearing a grinning plastic mask of civil rights and social justice to convince people to let her in the door. She’s one of the creepiest things you could possibly imagine, and the sooner her and those like her are gone and forgotten, the better.

I'm surprised by the timing of #MNUFC firing Adrian Heath. If it's aimed at still making the playoffs this year, it's too late; if it's to reorganize the sporting direction of the club, it's strangely early. Maybe they want to beat Portland to the punch?
