My approach if I'm a college football coach going forward:
Recruit 4/5 star kids that you KNOW will see the field immediately
Recruit 3 stars and below who are developmental and KNOW they won't see the field immediately
Recruit nobody in between those two

I’m happy about this. I’m glad Coach is staying even though I know the reason. I hope he learned something along the way.
Now for the deal, he doesn’t need more money. What would benefit the program is a much bigger buyout for him if he leaves and a bigger NIL budget

I don’t think this is fair. He’s halfway through his rookie season and he has made some improvements.
He’s using his legs about more but still needs improvement. His play on the road is improving too.
He’s just still not there yet.

Michael Penix is not getting better which is the scariest part of all of this. It’s still very early for him but his lack of progress is worrisome.
