@BeatriceAnihiri Free work is done by people looking for experience (newbies) and people looking to extract value through other means. The potential damage here far outweighs the benefits of "saving some money".

I’d be surprised if anyone signed up at all Who’s crazy enough to put their name in to be actively criticised by people who’d never do the job themselves And don’t you dare have the audacity to ask for compensation because that’s stupid and you chose this But what do I know

Do any members take personal liability for the refund? Cause a bankrupt company cannot refund anything 😅. Disclosure: I do not know anything about Pogun, it's promises, team, etc. My statement is only a general statement that a refund on failure cannot be fulfilled if money got already spent.

Private funding would align Pogun's incentives with a cap table. Treasury funding aligns Pogun's incentives with every ADA holder. That's not a subtle distinction. It means Pogun's commercial success is literally Cardano's financial gain. That alignment doesn't exist when a VC-backed team builds on Cardano. Their upside goes to their investors, not the ecosystem.

@KhalidWarsa Try Kimi K2.6. Behaves similarly to Claude. I replaced $200 Claude max with $40 Kimi + $100 GPT. So far it works great for me. Kimi is used mainly as main orchestrator and GPT as main plan executor (coder)

I’m actively exploring other options to reduce my reliance on Anthropic products even when I only use my sub the “approved way” AKA Claude Code. This erratic behavior is concerning regardless of what side of the fence you’re on.

Starting June 15, paid Claude plans can claim a dedicated monthly credit for programmatic usage. The credit covers usage of: - Claude Agent SDK - claude -p - Claude Code GitHub Actions - Third-party apps built on the Agent SDK

@bit_fury Protecting data both at transport level and at application level is not unreasonable in sensitive applications. It can be a life saver if a configuration error leads to non-TLS transport somewhere in your platform.

InfoSec: Your API payloads are in clear text 😱 Me: They're over TLS 1.3. InfoSec: Yes but I can read the JSON. Me: Because your browser decrypted it. For you. On purpose. InfoSec: Please encrypt the payload before sending over HTTPS. Encrypt the encryption. #rant

That's actually why I mentioned the old training data. It's unlikely it has enough point of reference to AI coding task duration unless you point it in that direction explicitly. Dog-hours? 😅 Could be fun but again, statistically unlikely unless we all start estimating our coding effort with it moving forward to screw up with the AI of tomorrow 😂

@AlexDochioiu @Padierfind Why couldn't it estimate against the amount of time that other similar tasks have taken when requested by you or another user in its training data? Or estimate in dog-hours? 😉

@AdamRusch @Padierfind It's an LLM. It predictes text 😅. So it has no concept of time or its own delivery capacity. Since most training data is also 1-2 years old, more than safe to assume it estimates (guesses) in human time.

@PaddyCTO I am not really following governance too much. I actually have no clue what the suggestion is for paying DReps. I just made a general statement that poor incentives keep good people away or make them seek incentives elsewhere (which is even more dangerous).

Cardano dreps shouldn't be paid. No one asked them or interviewed them for the role they chose to do a voluntary position! If dReps don't like that leave someone else will do it, you're replaceable!!

@AlexDochioiu @TakoTreba @Airbnb So odd because I’m a host and Airbnb never supports us. Is it possible that both guests and hosts are getting screwed ?

On Sunday evening, I had the worst experience I’ve ever had with @Airbnb. A few hours before arriving in Hamburg for OMR, a conference that brings more than 70,000 people to the city, my booking was suddenly cancelled. I immediately contacted customer support, expecting them to help me find another place. Instead, they told me they couldn’t assist because “Airbnb didn’t cancel your booking, the host did.” Excuse me? This happened around 11 PM. I spent the entire night on calls with customer support and did not sleep at all. At around 1 AM, things got even worse. I received a message saying I was no longer allowed to make bookings on Airbnb because my account had been flagged as potentially dangerous. I honestly couldn’t believe what was happening. I was traveling with my three-month-old baby. I explained that multiple times. It made no difference. No meaningful help. No travel credits. My account was blocked. And by the time I arrived in Hamburg, I had to scramble to find a hotel on my own. The ironic part? There was no AI involved in this experience. Only humans following scripts and passing me from one person to another. And, Brian, I genuinely wish I had been dealing with AI instead. It would have been faster, more logical, and probably far more empathetic than the people I spoke with that night. What shocked me most was realizing how few real alternatives there are to Airbnb. At midnight I was completely on my own trying to solve a problem that should never have happened in the first place. Worst customer experience I’ve had in years.

@benhylak The ChatGPT interface doesn’t work for this. We’ve already tried it.

@stolsvik @TakoTreba @Airbnb When did you last make any enquiry to some business to get a reply saying "fuck off" as a reply? You may want to reconsider the kind of business you work with if you find this reasonable/normal.

@TakoTreba @Airbnb Yeah. I got a host that swore multiple times like "fuck off" and stuff like this completely unprovoked. I escalated until I got an actual person to review my case. Their decision was to ban me. 😅

@lombardo187 @TakoTreba @Airbnb There used to be good value at some point a while ago. Nice places at good prices. That's not been the case in many years though as far as I'm concerned. It's almost always more expensive and you get a much worse experience.

Imagine her nightmare in 2030: every private message scanned, internet access gated behind digital ID, VPNs restricted, encryption broken "for the children." You are running ads about one dystopia while quietly building another.

Sometimes, we might take the EU for granted. But imagine Europe without the EU. What if the things that quietly protect and empower us every day suddenly disappeared? We must protect what matters to us. This Europe Day, let's celebrate our unity.
