Been playing this lil Thief/Deus Ex inspired stealth game called Filcher lately and honestly it's such a cool little experience so far. Really love the noir atmosphere and stylized late-60s aesthetic, great reminder that sometimes less really is more when it comes to immersion!!

If I can only put ONE game on Thief fans' radars, it will be Noirmancer. It's a noir, supernatural, stealth immersive sim where you use powers like the ability to shrink, erase memories, turn to mist, swim in the air to infiltrate dirty business.

If you're getting into Dishonored for the first time, definitely check out Knife of Dunwall and Brigmore Witches after you're done! They're incredible DLCs.

It's nice to see that Dishonored has become something akin to the Thief series for younger generations. People remember them because they are different and interesting, laced with complex possibilities for each playthrough, and contain some truly mind-bending mission designs

With Dishonored trending, my favorite fact is how the entirety of the Empire in the games only makes up like 10% of their world, and we know nothing about the other gigantic continent except that almost everyone who explores it either dies or goes insane from what they find there

With all of the incredible Dishonored/Arkane hype, it must be said that (along with the brilliant Lyon) the geniuses behind those games are still at large and very much at work Follow @WolfEyeGames and go play Weird West if you haven't already and be ready for the next one😉

@AlexLemcovich Honestly coward behaviour. If you’re high chaos just take Sam’s warning shot as a starting pistol for the murder fun.

Me, being the heartless monster I was in Dishonored's high chaos playthrough, shot Samuel with my crossbow before he could alert the guards, and watched his body fall into the water to be devoured by hagfish Shame. I was going to let him live.
𝕵𝖔𝖘𝖍 ⚰️@VoicesInShadows

In the high chaos ending he drops you off at the island, calls you a monster and you are "just as bad as the traitors", and then fires off a shot in the air to warn the guards that you are coming. This was honestly way better as an outcome

If you missed Filcher (fair play, it was a while ago) and the recent Dishonored nostalgia has given you a taste for first-person stealth, you really should check this one out Steam link in replies

Boys, this is not a drill You remember Filcher? Excellent indie Thief-like from a few years back. Well, the dev has just updated it with the only thing missing that might have put off some players: It has a mid-mission save system now! Here are the update notes

Dishonored 2 gets a lot of praise for its mission design, and A Crack In The Slab is my personal favourite All your powers get taken away, but then you're given time-travel, and the mission becomes a stealthy puzzle space you solve by hopping between past and present Beautiful

@AlexLemcovich Yeah, my favoritr mission in the game. Also, i am unsure if you keep the powers during NG+ or if you can keep the ppwers when you select the mission with custom settings, like when you can choose all the charms and shit.

@GenTev35601 I think the word "underrated" is being taken too literally, and in common parlance it's come to mean anything that's creatively excellent (and perhaps judged to be so at the time), but was never followed up by subsequent creatives Which is absolutely the Immersive Sim curse lol

Add Death of the Outsider and you have three of the most underrated games ever DOTO was, unfortunately, the best of the games mechanically while narratively it overexposed a core piece of the setting that, imo, would have been better left as a mystery
Synth Potato🥔@SynthPotato

Two of the most underrated games ever Genuinely depresses me that we’ll likely never see another Dishonored game If you’re even a slight fan of stealth games then you MUST play these! they’re top tier, especially going for a full Ghost playthrough is way too fun

@WhollyIllogical I was personally more engaged with the minor characters and settings, and the stories tied to them, which are all very well done That said, The Knife of Dunwall and Brigmore Witches DLC is my favourite Dishonored story and it's excellently written

@AlexLemcovich If we're being honest: though it has great worldbuilding, the entire series has fairly mediocre story writing.

@matternativ I get that it reused a lot and didn't have as many standout missions, but the bank heist was incredible

@AlexLemcovich I like Death of the Outsider but I don't think the level design was quite up there with its predecessors. Still a very good game.
