Gotta love the #UFL lmaooo. Imagine if an NFL coach yelled "get off my f***ing field!" after a Week 1 win. #Defenders HC Shannon Harris did just that....then aggressively dabbed up Skip Holtz and yelled about Holtz having "called him a doorman"(???) Incredible stuff.

@YardsPerGretch “wHaTs hIs BaTtinG aVeRagE” is also such a hilariously antiquated argument. There are so many ways to look at how Judge’s offensive season is objectively far better than Cal’s. But a 160 wRC+ while being a top-5 framer and playing every day is completely unheard of.

@YardsPerGretch Something funny about people citing “analytics”, and specifically WAR, is that pointing to WAR isn’t even a good argument. Fangraphs WAR (widely understood to more accurately capture the value of catcher defense) has Raleigh just 0.5 wins behind Judge, obviously a slim margin.

to be clear, being a catcher is not the sole reason. doing what years of data shows catchers don't do because of widely accepted knowledge there's a real toll to playing that position is a legitimate analytical argument. it's using past data to contextualize his season.

@YardsPerGretch If it was just a few points here or there in all advanced metrics it would be one thing. But judge is legit wiping the floor with him in every possible statistic. If cal had 45 hr this wouldn’t even be a thing. I just don’t think being a catcher can be the sole reason.
