@AlexMitchley ex tempore judgment is delivered on the spot, immediately after hearing and includes reasons. This order took a week which, with an urgent application, is a fair bit of time. However I am told that when judge handed down she said reasons to follow.

Kubushi J in Goliath case gave no reasons for her order. Reasons are an essential part of the judicial function. Here, the lack of reasons puts possibility of an urgent appeal at risk. It is a rule of law issue. See Goldstone J in the 1998 ConCourt judgment of Mphahlele v FNB
