20+ emails to @British_Airways several phone calls, several times the admittance of fault, confirmation refund has been made… real result.. nothing, another evening chasing an answer and being told the same old same old.. do senior management know or care how bad service is?
@British_Airways I’m getting bounced back and forward by the complaints team after admitting fault and 4 months in to the issued can someone please help me??
@GloucesterCity@GlosCC@TewkesburyBCgov not sure who is responsible but a tree has come down on path between Gloucester and over just past Severn bridge.
@duffett_claire@MartinSLewis Financial adviser here. Fix rate now, check best rate available not just your lender, if they fall you can flip to the lower rate, if they go up, you’ve got the best rate secured, we’re having clients flip on to rates now at 4.0%, if we’d waited they’d be looking at 5.8% today
@MartinSLewis My mortgage deal ends beginning of November this year, yet I’ve already received 1 letter and 2 texts from Santander chasing me to renew. How late should I leave it?
Inflation down more than expected.
In May it was 7.9% year on year down from 8.7% (it was expected to drop to 8.2%)
Crucially core inflation was 7.1% and was expected to stay there. It has dropped to 6.9%.
This takes a little pressure off bank of England and hopefully the money markets, there's a chance (no promises) new mortgage fix rates may ease off a touch.
@GlosPCC While I don’t disagree with the comment, this government waste millions of public money, if the decision saves costs and helps the train service, with perhaps an amount being invested for those who haven’t moved on from ticket offices it could be a positive move.
Government justifies closing all rail ticket offices because only 1 in 10 tickets are sold that way. Imagine if the same was applied to police receptions & more?
Artificial intelligence -v- emotional intelligence or just a lack of both? 🙃
First week as a vegetarian thanks to the lack of ingredients now found in a @Tesco duck wrap and a @caffenero tuna panini.. absolutely shocking to think pretending the price stays the same but cutting ingredients wouldn’t be noticed. #Starving get me a @GreggsOfficial
@Glos_Labour Also hardly a brag that it costs Labour £4 more to fix potholes than other parties..🤣 probably worth finding someone to help manage spending better.
There are roads across #Gloucester that need serious TLC.
🚗 well-maintained roads are essential for supporting working people
🛞 a pothole causes more than tyre damage- they damage livelihoods too
🌹 Labour councils spend £4.24 more per head on fixing potholes than Tory ones
@Glos_Labour talking of the ‘broken system’ and challenges facing the ward… no mention of what’s broken or the challenges. @GlosTory a flyer peppered with typos but a more positive tone. @GloucesterLDs a positive conversation on the door step about the area. Just an observation.
@GloucesterCity the canal path by Hempsted stinks of what can only be described as strong glue so often due to factory opposite quayside way, are there ways to complain about this and ways to test levels? Can’t be good for health?
@AndyCarsGlos how about telling your driver not to blast their horn they find their bloody indicators? 🧐 think the car number was 345 a ford family car? If you want to show them where they are.
@cummingsradio can someone explain how a pay rise will fix the NHS? I understand nurses who are high levels of work stressed. How does the underpaid fix the NHS as the latest chap suggests. There are 2 problems here aren’t there?
@cummingsradio part of the challenge we see landlords have are those rising mortgages, they too have to pay the banks which inevitably gets knocked on to rents, maybe speak to some agents as I dont think it’s pure profiteering from landlords which is somehow how it’s presented.
@cummingsradio the issues with local changes is ridiculous, the public pay their license for a service they enjoy, you can’t tell me anyone called up to complain asking for a less local service?? This is all the doing of poor senior management, clearly with little else to do.
