Since the start of hostilities with Islamic Republic of Iran last weekend, we've witnessed an alarming pattern of escalating, inflammatory rhetoric from voices across the political and ideological spectrum. This rhetoric distorts reality and fuels dangerous antisemitic narratives. It is a sad irony that an operation against the world’s largest state-sponsor of antisemitism has prompted so much antisemitism... We call on all public figures – elected officials, political candidates, public commentators – to refrain from reckless statements, unfounded charges, and wild conspiracies that echo the ugliest chapters of history and place Jewish communities in real danger. ADL stands with our partners at @Chabad amid an uptick of antisemitic rhetoric and conspiracy theories about the organization, many circulated and promoted by Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens. Tucker Carlson devoted large portions of a recent show baselessly blaming the operation against the Iranian regime on Chabad, claiming it’s being driven by a sinister Jewish religious campaign. Candace Owens posted a thread warning users to "be aware of where the Chabad is nearest your home," stating that "these people are dangerous" and will "harm kids." Considering the alarming number of attacks on Orthodox Jews in recent years, these unfounded claims are deeply concerning.

No joke: Ben Saul, the U.N.'s special rapporteur on counterterrorism, rushes to support the Islamic Regime in Iran, the world leading state sponsor of terrorism. Ben Saul received $150,000 from China. (Source: Facts & Figures on Special Procedures, p.59 ohchr.org/en/documents/r…)

We welcome France adding its voice to the the long list of states condemning Francesca Albanese for her latest outrageous and hateful remarks. This should not just be about condemnation or calls for her to resign, members of the UNHRC should initiate the appropriate disciplinary and removal proceedings for her long record of bias and hate. timesofisrael.com/liveblog_entry…

Today at the Permanent Council, we commemorated the victims of the Holocaust. This remembrance must be more than a solemn act—it must be a call to vigilance and to action. The Holocaust began with words, with indifference, and with the erosion of democratic institutions. That history obliges us to remain alert to the warning signs of intolerance and hatred wherever they emerge. At the OAS, this responsibility guides our work: from the appointment of a Special Advisor on Anti-Semitism to our broader efforts to strengthen democracy, promote civic education, defend human rights, and combat all forms of discrimination across the hemisphere. Memory itself is a form of prevention. We must confront intolerance in our schools, our institutions, our political discourse, and our public spaces—and act collectively to ensure that genocide, persecution, and hatred, based on any ethnicity, race, or religion, find no space in the Americas. Not today. Not ever. See the complete video here:

Earlier tonight a car crashed into a side entrance at Chabad HQ at 770 Eastern Parkway, the building encompasses one of the most important synagogues in the world. From video and witness accounts it seems to have been intentional. There are no injuries, thank G-d. "770" is perhaps the most replicated building in the world because of the light, joy, Torah and a confident Judaism that emanates from it to all corners of the world. The driver was taken into custody by the police almost immediately. Motivations unclear. chabad.org/6277677
