New paper finds #marsupials had diverse #diets, and achieved this diversity earlier in the #Cretaceous than other #mammal groups. The authors apply #DentalTopography to 71 extinct members of #Metatheria, finding they had more diverse #ecology than other #LateCretaceous #mammals.
