Akademiks said he initially gave Charlamagne the benefit of the doubt, believing he wouldn’t publicly rely on an unreliable source. However, he noted that many viewers had already questioned the site’s credibility after noticing what they believed were signs of AI-generated content, including authors who allegedly published an unusually high number of articles in a single day. 🗣️ Akademiks: “I went back to check the website… and it no longer exists. It just went away.” Akademiks admitted he underestimated Charlamagne, saying he believed the facts would eventually outweigh the initial narrative. Yeah I just downloaded the Q2 financials. They mentioned they want to focus more on publishing which is the bulk of their revenue. They tours are not what is making them money. Lucian said he wants to "capitalize" on new technology which alludes to AI. Newer artist are cooked!

After listening to that UMG call, I’m like 70% Drake ain’t re-signing. They not broke,but the money clearly tighter. Cash flow dropped, margins got squeezed and the whole call was discipline, efficiency, buybacks and getting better returns on every dollar. Bolloré already got the biggest position and basically blocked Ackman, while UMG bought back some of his shares. This don’t sound like a company getting ready to hand Drake another historic traditional advance.
