In 1946 WWII veteran Maceo Snipes was shot in his back by the KKK the day after he became the first Black person to cast a vote in Taylor County, Georgia.
After he was shot, Mr. Snipes walked three miles to the hospital with his mother. For six hours doctors left him waiting and bleeding. By the time he was seen, he needed a blood transfusion. The doctors said the hospital had no “black blood.” Snipes died two days later.
This is why I will vote in every election. The day I stop voting is the day I stop breathing. #FreshVotesBlue #BlackHistoryWithLana

@Michell33650674 For any PERSON who thinks the issues surrounding abortion are related to medical treatment are ignoring root causes and want to place blame on something other than themselves.

@flack_dianne @HMcdoolittle What's pathetic is folks wanna believe that one lies and one doesn't.
Now THATS pathetic.

@MeidasTouch Bunch of armchair quarterbacks around here.
Not one of you has the skills, training, or ability to diagnose someone's cognitive state.

BREAKING: Donald Trump just suffered a frightening show of cognitive decline at his New Hampshire rally and blamed Nikki Haley for January 6th. A confused Trump repeated Haley's name multiple times in a row as the crowd fell silent. meidastouch.com/news/confused-…

Its just too much gaslighting...
So I'm just an everyday American... don't care much for politics, definitely don't care for political drama that @mmpadellan brings to the table.
The story being spun here is...
The vote he speaks of definitely included border funding, but was mutually exclusive with Ukraine funding. That's right, couldn't have one without the other.
Brooklyn dad, your story is purposefly misleading...
...You're not good nor pure. You're just another rat.
English

House Republicans yell, stamp their feet, and feign extreme outrage about the border.
But they are full of shit.
How do I know?
Well, for one, they've already voted AGAINST funds for the border.
And two, they are reportedly against a bipartisan border effort in the Senate that even many Republican Senators back.
And three -- this is the most important one -- they don't actually want to do anything about it for fear of President Biden getting a scintilla of credit for it.
Don't take MY word for it: GOP Senator James Lankford said, "There are some that are saying, 'Hey, we don't want Biden to actually get credit for doing anything on the border, because obviously, he's made a huge mess."
So, you want us to believe it's an urgent matter that requires immediate attention, but you want to block repeated attempts to address it because you don't want a Democratic President to get credit?
I'll say this, if my house were on fire, I wouldn't care if the firemen were trump supporters, I just want that fire OUT. I wouldn't care who gets the credit.
In fact, I'd thank them heartily for it.

@SawyerHackett Wouldn't the people who willingly and deliberately entered the dangerous river with the intent of breaking the law be to blame?
Know when people historically don't die? When they're going through a point of entry into the United States.

Republicans want to ban books. We want to ban assault weapons.
Republicans think the government should tell a woman what to do with her body. We trust women, and women trust us to protect their fundamental freedoms.
Republicans try to silence the voice of the people. We fight to protect the freedom to vote.
The difference is clear.

@Acyn Yea... use your heads people...

@AdamSchiff Is this true? Who knows....?
...what is clear though is that YOU, @AdamSchiff ,choose to publicly slander as a method of self-promotion. A.k.a, You tear others believing it builds you up.
Trump may not be the guy, this I know, but you sure aren't either!

Article I, Section 9 of the Constitution is clear:
A president cannot accept any emolument from foreign governments. This means they cannot profit from their job.
And yet, that’s exactly what Trump did. $7.8 million during his presidency.
Given the chance, Trump will put his financial interests over our national security interests — every single time.

@mmpadellan What I DO think @mmpadellan , is you value your race more than you value your citizenship.
Let that sink in real deep.

I sure am glad that I forgot there was a Nikki Haley Town Hall tonight, because I'm sure I would have lost it when she said she "had Black friends growing up."
Spectacularly bad answer.
Also, I don't believe her.
I don't think she had Black friends then.
I don't think she has Black friends NOW.
English

@StephenKing Think about what makes you... well... you.
How large a part of that is your hatred for Trump? Yea, significant isn't it?
Now ask yourself, what would you be without Trump?
I'm sure you don't mean anything to him... how's that sit with you?

@JodyBerndt Question: Are you in the legislative proposal chop-chain @JodyBerndt? How TF would you even know if a proposal existed?
Answer: you wouldn't.
Conclusion: @JodyBerndt is parroting nonsense... he's not to be taken seriously, best to be ignored entirely.

The liberal Colorado Supreme Court kicking President Trump off the primary ballot is election interference and a move of pure fear.
They’ve put politics ahead of the Constitution.
The people celebrating this misguided action have no idea how dangerous this is for our Republic.
We are going to fight back and I’m confident that the Supreme Court will overturn this awful decision!

@Mollyploofkins This political garbage needs to end.
They both need to go.

That street runs both ways...
When morals and ethics are overshadowed by political party membership, the only result is gross hypocritical thought.
It is time to stop threatening people... no one would disagree.
The problem here is, it's clear you'd be OK threatening someone you don't like (Trump in this case)
Yet you vigorously condone the same for someone you do.
If it's a problem you'd like to solve, how about solving the one I just described... fairness is not confined to a political party, race, religion, lifestyle, sexual preference... etc. The moment you start extending fairness only to those you agree with, YOU become part of the problem.
