IMHO 10 hrs on court a week with a happy & well-rounded athlete will produce greater results than 15 hrs with someone facing internal struggles & not in a good headspace. More than happy to be proven wrong. Personally would much rather #taketimetotalk & put the #personfirst

This has undoubtedly been common knowledge for a while but interested to hear how coaches/programmes proactively address this. From my experience seems this can get lost in the day to day- especially when schedules are tight & hitting balls seems to take priority in most cases

A little late to the game but finally got around to watching #BreakPoint on @netflix 🎾 Incredibly brave of @paulabadosa to open up about her battles with depression and anxiety when ranked as highly as No2 in the world…

It’s unbelievable the amount of things a two year old ‘needs’ around 7pm each night. Tonight’s requests included a phone, water, more blankets, a pig, a cat, book, baby, floppy, a snowman and a thermometer.

From primary schools cross country at Whickham comp in the pouring rain to World University Games, it’s been quite the journey so far…

Not in any way self-indulgent, but nice to reminisce on the journey & interestingly I still remember >90% of these events. Sport has shaped who I am and I’m so grateful to my family for supporting me every step of the way & giving me so many opportunities across so many sports

Prepping for a house move and decided to have a look through old medals/trophies for the first time in YEARS. Every single medal I’ve ever won in any sport is right here, mainly tennis of course but nice to see netball, athletics/cross country and even rugby making an appearance

A brilliant day out at fixtures with the girls today. Personal highlight of the day was seeing our U14s improving and gaining confidence round by round, in their first ever competitive tennis fixtures 👏👏 #proud

Think the right handed serve might need some work though… 😂😂
