I am so blessed to announce my commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at the University of Houston! I would first like to thank God—none of this would be possible without Him at the center of my life. The countless hours of work, tears, prayers, and sleepless nights were all worth it for this moment and for the moments to come. Thank you to every single person who has been part of my journey. Each of you has pushed me to be my best, mentally and physically, and there is still so much more to work for. Mom and Dad, thank you for believing in me and for always being such a positive influence. It has meant everything. Thank you to my sister for being the role model that seven-year-old Saylor looked up to, and for giving me the chance to follow in your footsteps and play the sport I love. I guess my brother as well for shagging and catching me at times! Thank you to Blaze and every coach in the organization who has impacted me—especially Coach Cory—for believing in me through every step of this process. To every coach I’ve had along the way, there’s no doubt each of you has shaped me in some way. Thank you to my high school coach, Coach Harp, for helping me see the game from a new perspective. Softball, thank you for the friendships, the lessons, and for teaching me responsibility, respect, selflessness, and hard work. Most of all, thank you Coach Schoony, Coach Nyree, Coach Jordan, and Coach Jeff for giving me this opportunity that so many girls dream of. I am incredibly grateful that you trust in me. I want everyone to know that the job isn’t done—it’s just getting started. I can’t wait to grow, excel, and carve myself into the best Cougar I can be.
