A perfect example of this was when the latest Saints Row was about to launch; I remember a user constantly asking the developers if the game was coming to Game Pass. Even the phrase has become famous "Will it come to Game Pass?".

@lastchalice Does GP make sense? I think it's great for players, but risky for devs—I would say it depends on if the payout covers lost sales. It’s also warping consumer habits; I’ve seen fans prioritize waiting for GP over actually supporting devs with a purchase.

I find it really funny PS5 emulation is being pushed as a boycott against Sony but there's like only 8 games exclusive to PS5 and the rest are already on PC and the type of PC you'd need to emulate PS5 is already strong enough to just play the game from Steam

@KalpKilp83187 I only game on PC, so me, I guess. I don't have a PS5 and won't buy one just to play three games. I would've bought Astro Bot and Demon's Souls Remake if Sony had released them on Steam. So now I'll just wait 5 or 10 years to play them on an emulator.

@AshenOne_VI I’ve played the remake and Rift Apart. I never played the og trilogy or the PS3 games before, but thanks to PCSX2 and RPCS3, I’ve been able to play the whole series—except for Deadlocked, Into the Nexus, and Quest for Booty. All I can say is that A Crack in Time is the GOAT.

@MizoChris I really wished Sony had released Astro Bot and Demon's Souls Remake on PC –those are the only titles I want so I can have my favorite Playstation exclusives in my Steam library. I guess I'll just wait some years to play them on one of those emulators.

PS5 emulation IS WORKING! Now, We are still in need of development to run more games.
• Three PS5 emulation projects are currently being developed
• SharpEmu can already render the 2D game Dreaming Sarah
• Silent Hill: The Short Message reaches its opening logos and warning screens
• Demon’s Souls Remake can produce its first video frame before entering a loop
• RPCSX can boot the PS5 interface, safe mode and test programs
• Sound and controller input are reportedly working in RPCSX
• No major commercial 3D PS5 game is currently playable on PC
This is still early, especially when PS4 emulation remains limited after all these years.
Seeing commercial PS5 software rendering anything on PC is headway, and the non-backing of physical or PS3 store games has pushed further development.
